Just beat NMH... FINALLY! Amazing game. Anywho, the ending is more than a little... confusing, no?
First you have the final boss telling Travis he is his father, only to have Travis remember a flashback to when his parents were killed... huh? Then how is this dude his father? *scratches head* Then to top things off, this fake "father" is killed by the woman that killed his real parents only for you to find out she is Travis's sister?!
Okay, I know the point was to probably just make a joke out of all of the loose tie storylines and outrageous claims the characters were making, but come on. It was unbelieveably confusing. But my main questions are below, tell me what each of you got out of these happenings...
- Sir Henry claims to be married to Sylvia in the real ending after you get through battling him. He said they got married in college, 10 years ago. Problem is... Sylvia is 24 in the game. She must've been a fast learner, huh? Just another joke and outrageous claim put in the game for **** and giggles by Suda?
- He also claims to be Travis' twin brother? How with that heavy British accent could they be AT ALL related?
- After the credits, Sylvia is standing in an art museum with a child who stands staring at a poster of Travis and Henry about to slit each others' throats. She calls the young girl Jean. The same name of the girl who was supposedly Travis' sister that killed his parents. Is this Sylvia's daughter? Why is she named after Travis' sister?
- Sylvia says "Too bad there won't be a sequel.." at the very end only to have "TO BE CONTINUED!" pop up on the screen? WTF?
If any of you kind folks could shed some light on this... well... quite frankly **** up ending I'd appreciate it greatly. :P Awesome game nonetheless, though. If there IS a sequel, you can bet your ass I'll be buying it.
