No More Heroes Release Date Confusion...

My EB also says Feb.01. These kind of dates(1st day of month) are generally place holder, so there's still hope. However the same story seems to be happening all over Canada so it might be true unfortunately. Afterall, we do get some games a week later here sometimes. :?laus_basic

I just left Gamestop about an hour ago. They told me that the game would be released tomorrow and today was the shipping day. So I went ahead and payed for it and should have it in the morning when I go to pick it up.wii360fan

Hey, guys, I'm an employee for an EB here in Nova Scotia. I've been waiting for No More Heroes for quite a while too, hoping that we'd get it today or tomorrow, but I just got off the phone with my manager and he told me that it's scheduled for February 1st in the computer and we don't have any shippments scheudled for today or tomorrow for that matter. Sorry, looks like it's the same deal for No More Heroes as Rock Band for us. :(Canadian_Moron

EB has tons of Games in today..... and they were saying NO more heroes might be in one of the boxes.....

but somehow after I asked one of the guy who work in there ... told me it will be there on Feb 1st...... T_T

Doesnt the delay have to due with something like making french and english covers/manuals? Canada has really been starting to enforce their french laws lately. Darn you Quebec and your need to have french in all provinces, darn you to heck!Kuhu

It's not a Canadian law you're talking about. The law is from Quebec. Since Canada is a billingual country, you need to traduced the manuals. Also, a new law is coming. All games will have to be billingual soon in Quebec. The game will have to be traduced and dubbed in French. In other places in Canada, the game doesn't need to be traduced. You'll be lucky because the games will be released before while us in Quebec have to wait. If a publisher doesn't do that, the game is banned.

I don't know what Nintendo was thinking when they released Super Mario Galaxy and Phantom Hourglass in Quebec. They use French words that only us in Quebec use like "les vidanges" (it means garbage) in SMG.

Phantom Hourglass uses some old French and French words from Quebec. It's really weird.

Yup (Saint-Basile to be precise). Did you get the game yet? Anyway if you're looking for it, I also heard one of the Gamebuzz downtown(Centre-Eaton) had a bunch of copies.

I picked it up at Eaton Centre today. Thanks for the heads up. They still have over a dozen copies there. I think they mark up the price by 5 bucks, though.Smayoo
