i'm happy with it, as long as it's done right and not so much to the point where it's overkill or just done for the sake of doing it and it doesn't make sense. The only problem besides the whole (most people who are excited aren't old enough to buy) part is that usually when someone has a game they need to release and it has problems they add blood and gore to gain sales. The game idea has been highly anticipated but the previews of the game have been lacking, my worry is that the game is still lacking and this is what they want to do to sell enough copies.
Killer 7 was playfully over-the-top, helping drive the crazy, psychotic plotline deeper into a chaotic mess of humor and fun. This time around though, the No More Heroes game seems a tad more on the sanity side of things. If there is more violence in NMH, then it could be a bit out of place, but if used creatively, as in only certain instances of this excessive gore being used, then the violence could be well rounded, a perfect fit. Mainly, we cannot judge too much until more of the story, the characters, and the game itself has more light shed upon it.
Couldn't care less about how violent the game is. If it's a good game, I'll buy it. It seems pretty cool, so I'm interested. Violence does not make me interested in a game, though.
The reason this is a good thing is the fact that even if this game turns out to suck 3rd party devs are going to see that Nintendo isn't afraid to give the OK on these games. you would never see this on GC
As long as it doesn't affect the story, I'll be happy with it. If it has a great story and fun gameplay, I'll be sure to pick it up. Violence? Oh.. that's what this forum is about.. hmmm.. well, we'll how it works out.
I am happy that it is a free roamer/fighter. I think it is really intuitive even if there is minimal Wii controls. As for the violence I am not personally happy or mad, but I am glad it is there on the Wii because Wii needs more violent games for the blood lust players, which I am NOT. But I will buy this game because it will probably be an awsome game.

Being a Killer7 fantic, there really wasn't any doubt from me before. This didn't really change my opinion on the game at all, actually.
However, it'll make it more interesting around the media when it comes out, which could equal more sales, which would mean more Suda 51 games on the Wii ;)

I see violent games as a turn on for spotty teenagers myself. Once you're old enough, you get over it. Then you couldn't care less as long as you enjoy the game. That's why kids still play GTA today... Game is looking to be quite promising though...
Did any of you actually read the interview with the Suda51 guy? He tacked on that "its gonna be more violent than MH2!" quote at the very end of the interview--I think he was just joking around with the interviewer. If you take Killer7 as any indication of a potential violence meter for NMH, the violence will be artistically done and not comparable to MH2 smut. Cell shaded violence is just a different animal--hard to generate gross out gore--imo.
As long as it is on the same fun level as Killer 7, I don't care how much violence is in it. If its violent and it works and is fun then great. However a game can still be fun and not violent too.

They also said, not directly, that it would look much different in the final version. So you never know. Also he was not joking. He said multiple times that he wants it gory. He is a gore whore but he is also very creative.
