I recently got back from my vacation in Mexico. We got home late so I went to bed. The next day I was bored and wanted to play Wii. So, I went to the suitcase the Wii was in. Everything, EVERYTHING, was in there, except the Wii itself. We looked in all the suitcases. Nothing. I'm pretty sure we didn't leave it at the hotel. However, we're waiting for the guy at the hotel to get back to us. My dad's friend says the baggage handlers at the airport were probably the ones who stole it. My parents say they'll buy me a new one. Though I left the Madden disc in there so we have to buy that again too. Well, feeling crappy, Tak963.
sucks mate, but yeah, it was prob taken at the airport. due to 9/11 check in bags can't be locked because they have to be inspected so someone can take anything of value from your bag. Some advice for the future: put anything you value in your carry on bag, that way you can make sure that it is safe and don't have to worry about it being stolen. My sympathy goes out to ya, but ya prob shouldn't take your wii with you on vacation.

I agree. I don't take consoles on airline flights- too risky. I do take my DS Lite though, and it's safely tucked away in a carry on bag, in my lap, or in my hands.
Sorry for the loss of your Wii, your parents are really nice to replace it.

Man I want to be a baggage handler, what a sweet job. No just kidding that really sucks, report it to the airport not that it will do any good. There should be cameras in all locations of an airport so you never know, at least you can get a new one.

Mine I got with my own money and my sis borrowed it once. made her sign like 50 contracts and I took her mp3 player as collateral in case something happened to my wii. So if yer sis threatens to take it threaten her, if you're older just use your intelligence and hide it well, like under a floorboard.Â

I bring my hand helds to air trips, but sometimes I get embarassed as the handheld is tucked in my pocket and i forgot to put it on the x ray thingy so i walk through the metal detector with it and when the detector rings everyone looks at me. You should call the air port ( highly unlikely they would say anything or you'd call them) as like one of the posters said they might have removed it.

Dude, I can relate. My friend sold me a DS, and 2 days after, someone stole it from my locker. Then a week later, I went into Gamestop, and the person who had stolen it sold it there, because it was sitting on the shelf!, and of course I couldn't buy it back =/.

PSA: Try not to transport your systems with a disc in it! That's a bad habit because the disc can potentially scratch the glass surface of the laser device.
My friends house was broken into a few years back and they stole his xbox, ps2, and gamecube. He has his placed locked down now that he has a 360.omfg_its_dally
