Well, Konami did one with Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow, which was called Konami's greatest hits.
Also, the GBA Player's Choice didn't happen until the last year of GBA's life, and they were mostly Nintendo games like Super Mario Advance, Pokemon, and Zelda.
So for a Player's Choice to happen with the DS, probably at the end of DS's life with the Mario games, Zelda games, and Pokemon.
Because Devs don't like popular consoles.IceWarrior93
Just wondering....where does that logic come from, and what does it have to do with the question that was asked? The only developer that has anything to do with making an officialline of Player's Choice titles for the DS would be Nintendo.
DS greatest hits are unlikely to occur since the games sell decently and the hardware is selling at a good clip.
Likely it will be the last year of the DSs life or when the games are million sellers. Game prices drop anyway. Cheapassgamer.com toys r us online deals, heck online in general saves you a fortune even on brand new stuff.
I have 25 DS games 23 of them new and guess what several of them I got for free using buy two get one free deals. All in all using online I saved several hundred bucks to get my collection. I have over ten wii games as well.
The only game I have seen is Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow labled "Konami's Best" with a red label on the box. I guess the games just sell so well so there is no need for a "greatest hits" lineup of games for the DS.

Perfect. I don't think it will happen while the DS is relevant anyway.
The truth is that cartridges are expensive, that's why you don't see any ds "greatest hits". Once the price of cartridges takes a serious drop, then we'll see greatests hits titles. It's the same story with the GBA, the price of the cartridge was prohibitive in releasing greatests hits titles.
The PSP runs on the UMD which is cheap to manufacturer, so greatest hits titles was an easy decision to make.

i dont believe they r that expensive. the biggest memory a ds cartridge has is 128mb. nintendo knows ds is selling like crazy and people buy the games like crazy so to make profits they just leave the price as it is
N64 carts were 25 bucks to manufactor when they first came out.
The psp games cost far more to develop but sell the least. Hence the greatest hits line to try to reinforce the sagging game sales. Piracy hurts the psp a ton.
DS games the most cost besides game development is the carts. Reason why the 2gb carts are just being produced is that it is now affordable to do so.
