I think the most obvious answer is the correct one here.
There is no Wii version of Rock Band released or announced yet because...
1. They have to figure out how to integrate the Wiimote and/or Nunchuck somehow. And everything has to be wireless, for the most part, because this is a clean wireless system with a strict mommy (Nintendo). As far as I know, the only available wireless option, on the other platforms, is the guitars. Drums and mic are wired on all 3 platforms. For the Wii, it's gonna have to be a different story.
2. Because of the above, more than likely the hardware is going to be different enough from the PS2/PS3/360 versions to cause schedule and financial issues. Less common shared hardware parts, etc.
Graphics has nothing to do with it, because obviously the Wii is capable of rendering the scenes in Rock Band (What is the big deal? A stage, a crowd, a band with instruments, flashing lights). As pointed out many times over, a lesser system, the PS2, has its own version too.
Potential sales is a no-brainer either. This is a MUSIC game. Why wouldn't this be considered a hit for casual gamers? There are something close to 20 million Wii's in homes now (it was 16 million in the fall, so I am guessing it's close to 20 million by now?), 360 is tied, or just below, and PS3 is less.
Regardless of the hassle, you can't ignore an install base approaching 20 million.
IT WILL SELL AND MAKE MONEY, period.
We all just underestimate how difficult it must be for them to figure out how to best make a clean setup with the Wii.
Add to the fact that all major players in the industry missed the boat on the Wii in the first year, they didn't know it'd sell like hotcakes, so everyone is catching up.
