I have always been a fan of Nintendo, although not so much of the Wii.
The question I would ike to ask, is do you need story to create a pefect game?

My opinion is, yes. For a great game, no.
For example, Mario 64's story was the Princess Peach "baked a cake" for Mario (was kidnapped).

They all have this good vs evil, cliche and quite linear storylines.
But they are great games.

Your thoughts?

The gameplay more than makes up for it, but Metroid and Zelda both have storylines... usually relatively interesting storylines at that. Some people are just too lazy to read all of the scans for Metroid, and some read into Zelda's storyline more than others.

Zelda has a story. But for the rest, they don't need it. They're good enough on their own.

Also, don't come onto the Wii forum just to insult Nintendo. You can do that at system wars.

Zelda has always contained a lot of symbolism...
