[QUOTE="Kirbi-K"]Buy a Wi-Fi Dongle http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_Wi-Fi_USB_ConnectorSAGE_OF_FIREThey've been discontinued, so I would have to shell out a ton of money for something that "was" like $30. Those things were pieces of crap, that is why they were discontinued. And yes, you need to have a wi-fi access point in order to play online. If you don't have a wi-fi network in your own house, a lot of businesses offer free-wi-fi these days such as Borders and Starbucks.

The TC is asking if he can still use his DS online without downgrading his security to WEP on his router. And as for the answer, none that I know of.
Lol that's nintendo for you, loving to hold technology back. Wii, DS. fail
Whenever someone wants to use a DS here, I just create a temporary ad-hoc connection from my laptop, works but is so dumb.

And the reason its still WEP is not the devs fault. Its hardcoded onto the DS firmware (not per game cart)... something which cant be changed in the older models of DS but the newer ones it can.

The DSi supports WPA. However regular DS games can still only be played with WEP.
