In a recent interview, Fils-Aime stated how much of an epic franchise Halo was. He also called Bioshock genius. What I was wondering was is there some kind of hidden deal between Nintendo and Bungee? It would be awesome to have a Halo wii edition with massive online and no FC, but a man can only dream. YOU NEVER KNOW!!!! Oh and also explain the last unrevealed, hidden character in Brawl, it might just be Masterchief..... ;)

he is trying to get games like this and GTA on there because there is an appearent lack of these types of games. if he could get some of them on the Wii that would be excellent.

No, it means nothing. All it shows is that Reg has respect for other companies and the games they make.

Also, who said there was only gonna be one more brawl character?

I don't think Halo fanboys would buy the Wii if Nintendo releases a Halo game for it, they would still prefer the Xbox because of the graphics.

Halo and Bioshock are not coming to the Wii... although the thought of Halo 3 on the Wii just gave me a semi-boner.

Last Brawl Character?

Wtf.

Anyways, Idoubt it, the Halo graphics would have to be crappified to the max to work on the Wii, and annoying gamers would not stop whining, and of course 360 fanboys will laugh at it and call it the "Gaylo" version of Halo.

I don't think he was talking about 3rd party characters. He just said hidden and unrevealed. that doesn't necessarily mean 3rd party.

If they were true Halo fanboys, then they would probably just buy the Wii for the game just like they did with their 360, only buying it for Halo 3,...

I don't think that it's going to ever come to the Wii. It might be nice if it did, but I doubt that would happen. It would be nice to get Bungie to make a Wii game though. I'm sure they're all sick of making Halo games and are looking to branch out now that they left Microsoft.

The simple fact is the Wii just isn't powerful enough to run Halo 3 or Bioshock. I don't just mean HD output either.

The low specs of the Wii are a double edged sword.

On one hand it means we can all buy the system cheap from the start and Nintendo makes a profit on every Wii sold. The bad side is the Wii will never get versions of games like Bioshock, Assassins Creed, Mass Effect, Oblivion, Call of Duty 4, Dead Rising, Grand Theft Auto 4, Halo 3, Metal Gear Solid 4, Orange Box etc that would be anything near quality of those found on PC, 360 and PS3.

As a true gamer, it must be hard missing out on games like those. At least the Wii has a cool controller. Nintendo probably didn't give the Wii high specs because they would've had to sell the Wii at a loss like MS and Sony had to do with their consoles.

I think all Wii owners should accept the Wii for what it is. A platform for Nintendos first party games and quirky third party titles. Forget about high-end games like Bioshock and Halo 3 that require lots of processing power and RAM.

Maybe it's just the fact that Reggie is very matter of fact and isn't so up his own ass as to not be able to say the competition has some good titles. There's no innuendo or anything, just a guy that doesn't try to pull a bunch of crap.

It'll never happen. Halo coming out on Wii would be like Metroid Prime coming out on 360. Microsoft owns the Halo franchise, not Bungie. Bungie say they are independent but their games will still be published by Microsoft. The only difference is Bungie is now second party instead of first.

You made a comment about graphics. I said Wii couldn't run these games because it doesn't have the processing power to govern the complex AI, physics, vehicle combat and large environments or track deformation found in games like Sega Rally and Motorstorm or hundreds of zombies on screen like in Dead Rising.

Wii doesn't have the processing power to deal with all that information.

Playingthese games on Wii would be like playing Metroid Prime 3 on a GBA.

as much as i dont like 3rd party characters being in smash (dont like king dedede either but at least he's nintendo), i say that the third third party character, if they have one, has to be at least half big. i mean, sonic and metal gear have been around for ages, and i understand their spot once i accept that third partys are in, but master chief hasnt even been on any nintendo system, and hes way too new, he has no real history (except for selling millions)

There is a game called Halo Wars in development. It isn't developed by Bungie but it's 360 exclusive. Peter Jackson is working on a Halo game that isn't developed by Bungie and it too is 360 exclusive. I haven't heard of any lawsuits from Bungie.

When I said complex physics engine I was talking about games like Half-Life 2, Portal, Motorstorm (when you crash your vehicle smashes into a shower of parts), Crysis. Games like those. What PS2 game has a complex physics engine? I do remember a PS2 version of Half-Life that was a stinking pile of crap.

First off the whole bungie split doesn't even matter because Microsoft owns the rights to HALO. Saying HALO will come to the Wii is like a slap in the face. Are you kidding me? FPS is horrendous on the Wii as COD3 and Red Steel made obvious and not only that, but lack of HD graphics and a proper online service. Now Nintendo boards should be filled with some of the most intelligent people outside of the pc board, but yet this topic is just flat out stupid. HALO is a billion dollar, flagship, system-selling franchise. Why wouldMicrosoft risk its console sales to port it to the Wii? The only way you can possibly tie the two together is through the fact that kids play HALO and kids play the Wii.

Dude Halo 3 doesn't even look that much better than Halo 2. And if you've played Prime 3, you'd know it's a capable system when in the right, dedicated hands. The game was stunning and was running at double the speed of Halo 3, BioShock, Gears of War, etc. If their next game ran at 30fps, it could look twice as good as Prime 3. Which probably means > Halo 3.

Oh my god. Why do people on this board keep trying to turn what I said into a discussion about graphics? How many more times do I have to say it? I WASN'T TALKING ABOUT GRAPHICS!

It's surprising how much value Wii owners put on graphics. I thought you guys didn't care about having good graphics?

Halo 3 looks a lot better than Halo 2. There's no way the original Xbox would be able to run Halo 3. Even the campaign mode in Halo 3has epic battles with literally dozens of vehicles involved. Each following it's own AI pattern and adopting to the changing battle. Then there's the online part and the revelation that is saved films. Do some research on the saved film feature in Halo 3. There's no way that could've been done on the original Xbox or Wii. Have you even played Halo 3?

I haven't played Metroid Prime 3 but I do own and love the first 2 Prime games on GameCube. Say what you want but Prime games have never been noted for large scale epic battles and complex enemy AI.

When I said Wii couldn't run these games I was talking about processing power and RAM used for gameplay, NOT RENDERING GRAPHICS. That's done by the 360's custom built ATI graphics card.

Even gamespot. One of the harshest reviewers around these days agree. Halo 3 9.5.......Prime 3 8.5..........

I am getting a Wii soon though and I'm looking forward to playing Prime 3 but I don't think it'll be better than Halo 3. That's my opinion. I don't think Metroid games are better than Halo games and the vast majority of gamers out there will agree with me. There's a reason it's one of the most successful franchises EVER.

I would probably not get it just because of the wiimote, I don't feel right playing on one, a normal controller is much easier, graphics arent anything to me.

Dude, whatever. Yes, I have played Halo 3 and quite frankly, it looks like poop compared to the other 360 games. It's not even running true HD. lol

And who cares what the "vast majority" thinks? So by that logic Britteny Spears>any band? The "vast majority" of people are pretty stupid and ignorant.

There's no way that could've been done on the original Xbox or Wii.

Smash Bros. Brawl has that moron.

One of the harshest reviewers around these days agree. Halo 3 9.5.......Prime 3 8.5..........

They also think WarioWare>Prime 3. They also think Geist>Ratchet and Clank FTOD. But I bet that's fact to you.

And why did a talk about graphics and processing power turn into a "OMG GAMESPOT SAIZ HALO 3>>>PRIME 3 LOL"

And if you're talking about JUST processing power like you said, BioShock could be done on the Xbox. :|

Never say never, the graphics can be tweaked a bit or better yet an exclusive Halo can be made for the Wii from the ground up!!!

??? Well actually since Bungie split Microsoft, the company can't just make more Halo games. If by any means Microsoft dares to do that than obviously Bungie will place a huge lawsuit.....And the Wii just likthe PS2 has the ability to manage a complex physics engine

I do remember a PS2 version of Half-Life that was a stinking pile of crap.

http://games.ign.com/objects/025/025170.html

this says bungie is working on all of those.

Ok "dude". First, I never resorted to childish name calling. I don't appreciate being called a moron.

Second, It's nothing like Battalion Wars LOL.

Third. Yes, Halo 3 has vehicles controlled by the AI. You can operate the gun turret of a Warthog if you want and one of the AI controlled marines will drive it around. Obviously every enemy vehicle is AI controlled.

Are you ******* stupid?

I'm 99.9% sure that the Micrsoft/Bungie split had Microsoft retaining all rights/options on the Halo franchise. I don't thing it's legally possible to bring it to the Wii.
