Non 3D 3DS?(separate model scenario)

When buying the 3ds, I bet some people didnt even care about the 3d capabilities of the 3ds. Also there are kids 6and under and some minority of people who cannot use the 3d affect in the 3ds for medical issues. People who do not use the 3d affect can always disable it by lowering the 3dbar, but you have to remember that consumers are paying for the 3d capability of the 3ds. Nintendo can make a non 3d 3ds and lower the retail cost by mabye $30~$40, since the company stated that the 3d part of the 3ds is the most expensive. This is possible since 3d does not contribute to gameplay unlike the touch screen of the ds.

Consumers are paying for a product to play 3DS games. The 'extra cost' for 3D argument is kind of futile, as they've already remedied this by creating a slider to disable the 3D entirely

As I mentioned, some people will not even use the 3d affect. Im not saying to replace all the 3ds models with the non 3ds models, just make an extra option for people who wont use the 3d at all.

what you just described is a dsi.

the 3ds is already cheap enough for consumers theres a 3d switch to shut off 3d , get a grip once its 170 , there will be no need to drop a new model unless it does what dslite did to ds it wont happen
