I have been thinking about getting a DS for a while now and I just sold my PSP cause I never used it and dont like the games for it but I still do play some Gameboy every now and then, I mostly play Pokemon or RPG's like golden sun. But the times where I really sit down and play are few and far between, mostly a comp/360 gamer now. Whats your guy's suggestions?

I got a DS because I liked some of the games coming out for it (like Dragon Quest: Rocket Slime, and Phoenix Wright), and also because I'd sold my GBA and got nostalgic about wanting to play my old GBA games. If you have the money and like the DS games that are coming out a lot, and/or have situations where you travel and don't have access to your PC/360 and need entertainment, it's worth a buy. Otherwise, I'd say keep your GBA until something or somethings on the DS come out that you feel you -must- have, like Dragon Quest 9 or somesuch.

Why haven't you picked one up yet then ?! I'm not particularly a handheld gamer either but I assure you it's well worth the purchase; you can have fun on it whether you play 5 minutes or 5 hours and its very casual friendly.

I really do recommend getting a DS. There's just so many games for so many different people, so you'll find some you love. I find that the battery life is great so perfect for long journeys too! Also great multi-player opportunities if any of your friends have one or you have a wireless connection.

I would also not play handheld that much before when the gameboy was the only one, but when I got my DS i couldn't stop playing it and now it is my favorite system/handheld. I mean not right away but i learn to like the DS a lot. And before I would only play Pokemon games on the Gameboy but with the DS I haven't played a pokemon game yet, just waiting for pearl.

Well, if you like RPGs, then the DS Lite will be fine.  Just don't expect it to fulfill all your needs.

I have a 360 and am quitting WoW I done most of what it had to offer and just cant seem to stand leveling to 70 anymore... so I am working on beating zelda for GC (bro has a wii so I COULD get one but I think since he's currently playing my ps2 I have some sway to get him to stop being greedy) but I'm mostly a pc gamer just sick of the same old same old, if anyone has a good game recomendation period for PS2 (still gotta pick up God of War 1) 360 or PC I could use suggestions for that too.

yes it's worth it. a lot of crappy games, a lot of great games. however, many of them can be so novel to the point where the game is silly..

Yesterday I sold my PSP and bought a new DS Lite. (a white one)  The thing ROCKS.  I was like you.  I never really played my PSP and when I did it wasn't all that much fun to tell you the truth.  So far I have Metroid Pinball and Club House Games and they are BOTH amazing and fun to play.  Best thing I did was getting this thing.

Seriously, get a DS Lite.  I own the "next generation of gaming" yet I never even touch it.  Instead, I play the simplest, yet most entertaining of gaming, that can only be produced on the DS.  My evenings are short, because I worth full-time, and I'm sick of wasting obscene amounts of money for limited hours of enjoyment.  For the dollar, the DS offers more entertainment than any other system on the market.  Whether you buy a DS as a compliment to your existing collection, or your primary source of entertainment, you simply can't go wrong.  A DS is a true gamer's companion, at all times.
