its better not to antagonize anyone. if you feel they are acting inappropriately, just report them and let that be that. remember, you dont want to get yourself in trouble!
but as for the original post.. i would certainly like to see some more shooters. something fresh, something new. with MPH graphics and an auto-lock feature. and wi-fi, of course!
Ds can have good FPS's with the touch screen and stuff problem is thay aint gonna look so pretty (imo I dont care about graphics)and the psp could have some great fps's if they wouldve added a second analog then alot of games wouldve been better on thereX_XSlashX_X
Yeah, DS is the best handheld for FPS's... So im surprised how little there are, even the gba got more in it's lifetime.
there would have been halo ds here is the story nintendo and microsoft had a deal so nintendo made it then they had a meeting microsoft wanted it to cost more money but nintendo though that no one would buy it so they were worried that they would lose money so then the deal was so ya we would be playing it right now if only nintendo just did what micosoft told them (sigh)heatmaster22
really? what? i have never heard that! wow! omg! ...........actually noone knows whether or not that was a rumor or real. its all open to debate. but please, not here. WAAAY overdone.
im thinking more along the lines of unreal tournament or quake (which i heard was in production)
EDIT: Actually, you know what? i apologize Heatmaster22... i didnt realize you were new here, so you may not have seen the 1000's upon 1000's of Halo DS forum posts in here. but unfortunately youre a little too late. that topic has been driven into the ground. i didnt mean to offend... i felt bad..i cant go around claiming to promote peace and unity here on gamespot and then bash someone who might be unaware of whats going on.

They need to make a lot more shooter games for the Nintendo DS. Who agrees with me?gamer-clemm
true, but a lot of good shooters are on the psp. the ds is geared toward a younger crowd with most of its games. i regret buying the ds. but thats my issue lol

sometimes i regret buying my DS as well, but its only when im around other things..
..like if i go to the store and look at games, i see a bunch of kiddie/junk games...
..or if i see a psp on display i think "maybe i should have gotten that instead.."
but then i get home and realize i have all the games i need and that i wouldnt still be playing them if i didnt like them, y'know? thats why ive bought and traded about 12 games altogether, and im now just left with 6 that i actually really enjoy playing over and over again on a regular basis.
thats my take on it. sorry for straying off topic. i felt inspired.
They definitely need more shooters, though i think its honestly had a fair share of them. CoD4, Dementium, MPH, Golden Eye: RA, etc. Still, thats not nearly enough. Its got a perfect setup for fps's.

I have to agree. I sometimes regret having my DS because when I first got it I thought that maybe they might make a lot of shooters, well I was wrong. So I saved up all my money and got a PSP. What I am glad for with the DS is that I can play Zelda Phantom Hourglass.
I feel the need to point out that the name of this topic should be "Not Many Shooters for DS" I know that the grammatical error was probably just that, an error, but mixing up many and much annoys me.orangew00t
Oops! I didn't catch that. I'm sorry dude.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "Shooter." If you mean FPS like Metroid Prime: Hunters, then I can say that I don't really think the DS needs a lot of these games. They can be done well, but the graphical limitations of the DS don't always add up to a great game.
Now if you mean "Shooter" as in a vertical, or horizontal shooter game where you pilot a craft of some kind, and endulge in classic gameplay, then I agree. The DS does 2-D extremely well, and I wish they'd put out some great shooters of that nature. NanoStray was a big disappointment, but I know the DS is capable of handling these games. I'd like to see Ikaruga, or something of that nature release for the DS. If it was done right, I know a lot of old-schoolers would jump on it.
