I knew ZombiU wasn't going to live up to it's hype. So glad I didn't pre-order it, might pick it up second hand one day just to try it out, but yeah, i'm not surprised by the score, but am disappointed it didn't end up proving me wrong.

I played Zombie U a few months back and knew it was not worth people's time.

I am very dissapointed in the ZombiU review and will now be picking up Darksiders 2 instead.

Shouldn't let one review sway people on ZombiU i think another site gave it a 93/100. Better to wait for tomorrow and see what IGN and US Gamespot give it.

Same problems I had with it

Bad AI
Boring combat
Disjointed story

Frankly im suprised NSMBU got an 8.5 considering most games this year that are awesome had that as the highest score, and since NSMB2 got a 7.0, you would think they would be harsh with NSMBU. So basically its confirmed NSMBU is straigh out awesome, as well as Nintendo Land.

As for ZombiU i can understand the problem, but i cant tell if Maxwell is being serious or if he's just upset that its not a Fast Paced Run and Gun FPS, which this game isnt and his review makes it seem like it. Ill wait for Future reviews considering this is the first of the reviews for that game.

Meh. I was cautiously optomisitic about ZOmbiU. At times I thought it looked terrible, at times I thought it looked awesome. Probably pretty mediocre it turns out.

At least NSMBU and Nintendo Land look like really great purchases (predicted the scores on GS and IGN). I buy Nintendo systems for NIntendo games. Keep on giving me great games and I will be happy :).

• Heavy emphasis on dull melee combat
• Uninteresting puzzles and mission structure
• Wii U gamepad adds little and hurts immersion.

Lots and lots of repetitive crit stick melee bashing.

Can't wait for these games.

Played the game awhile back... interesting but not quite the prize I was looking for. However, there are some things that get me excited about the future of Wii U.

Not a big fan of Ubisoft games. It's just obnoxious when people immediately reject a game, any game, based on ONE score!

It might just be one review, but it's not just bad, it's horrible. This bodes very badly for the game's quality. When was the last time a game scored 4.5 at one major site and scored 8+ everywhere else?meetroid8

Well I was very optimistic about the game to begin with.. and I remember the gamestop employees nagging me to get me to preorder it. pshhh yea right I don't preorder something unless I know for sure it will be amazingBangerman15

I just picked up my black Wii U along with Blackops and it came with Nintendoland, i was looking for ZombieU at two Walmarts because everthing else was closed and didnt find the game, ill still pick it up i hear its actually pretty good from friends that got it at gamestop.

A summary of this reviewer's gripes with the game Zombies can move as fast as the player (the zombies aren't easy to get away from, makes them hard to deal with in groups and are therefore SCARY = what a horror game should do, make you worried about being hurt. Zombies don't go down easy (you have to put effort into killing zombies. games like left 4 dead have conditioned people into thinking that zombies are harmless unless they're twice the size of the player). The reviewer stopped using weapons that weren't the pistol and the cricket bat because he was afraid of losing the others (The reviewer was being cautious due to fear of losing his weapons = a hallmark of quality horror game design, the fear of losing progress. To deal with this, he decided to play the game in a boring yet safe manner, then complained that he wasn't having fun.) I've probably missed a few. games5522

and I agree with this comment So it looks like the bad points about the are actually good for some people but not everyone. Because you can play it too safe the game will be boring but if you balance your game play then it will be enjoyable, but also the problem still exist with the missions according to the review most of them are search missions, and also the problem with having a new character each time will need to make the game story more generic but according to the review it isn't. Any character you will be using will be continuing the story. So i belive that this game is more of a 7 than a 4.5.

if max reviewed RE6, it would have gotten a 9 :lol:, because it seems he likes that type of games according to this review.

The meele combat looks awfully lame, they could have atleast given us some variety like axes, knifes, shovels, pipes etc. which should be also alot more common than a cricket bat (british stereotype much?). Also the touchscreen tapping seems completely out of place and not very immersive.. maybe I will rent this when i get a WiiU in a few months..

I am very dissapointed in the ZombiU review and will now be picking up Darksiders 2 instead.

I think it is a little rash to base which game you get on one review, especially that in my opinion simply didn't enjoy what the game was about. EDGE gave ZombiU a 7http://www.edge-online.com/review/zombiu-review/1/ . I wasn't expecting this game to be great, launch titles rarely are, but it looks good enough to make it worth purchasing.
