Faint lines? Got a picture? Its probably just the contacts of the game cart rubbing on the contacts inside the DS. If they aren't deep scratches or anything I don't think you should worry.

I don't think it's anything serious, unless something glitchy happens while you're playing. I have silvery lines on one of my cartridges and I don't mind it. Just be careful when putting your ds game into your DS.
I'm hoping the black, 'burnt' look is just a result of the picture and not what the cart looks like...because that doesn't look normal.
However, I do see vertical lines and I think they are just the normal wear of sliding the cart contacts against the contacts of the DS and shouldn't be a big deal.
