Penguin United or the 6 dollar monoprice cables are the same, if not better than Nintendo's, and they cost less to boot.

Do not get lower quality cables.

Lower quality cables = lower quality signal

The lowest you should go is the Nintendo branded ones, you can spend more if you want but since the Wii maxes out at 480p they're not needed. You never skimp on cables when you connect your components.

It's like the people who spend over half a grand on a receiver and then wonder why it never sounds good. Then you check what speaker wire they're using and it's as thin as dental floss. If they hooked it up with the right connections it would sound the way it's supposed to.

So much goes into cables from the connections to the shielding and 30 dollars isn't a lot to spend. You spend money on the TV, you spend money on the Wii but when it comes to the most important part of the setup you go cut rate? That just doesn't make sense.

My third party cables work great, look great. I don't know which third party cables you guys are talking about but mine are of a very high quality. You guys talk like the Nintendo ones are better than Monster, etc. They're nothing out of the ordinary.

doesn't have to be from nintendo. a component cable is basicly three composite cables that seperate red blue and luminance.

faily simple stuff.

i have them and they are no worse than the nintendo ones. and at $4.50 theres basically nothing to lose.
