Oh....my god. Is that Fran? And Balthier!? I thought it was supposed to be just Vaan and Penelo from 12. I am so happy!!!!!!!! I absolutely LOVED FFXII, I am so excited for this game, thanks SO much for the post!!queen_valentine

but isnt this supposed to be before the ps2 version (which i wish i never preordered) cuz they didnt meet fran and Balthier til the ps2 version. i really hope its good the ps2 version was crap compared to like FF 7 and 10

Summons:

- There will be over 50 summons in the game
- Summons are split into 3 main categories - Flying, Melee, and Range
- There have 5 different elements for summons - Fire, Water, Thunder, Earth, and None
- They are also ranked from Rank I to Rank III
- The Shiva family contains Shiva (Rank III), Darling Shiva (Rank II) and Baby Shiva (Rank I)
- The Ifrit family contains Ifrit (Rank III), Ibrith (Rank II) and Jin (Rank I)


Game content:

- Certain Summons and most Mistknacks (Mist Quickenings) will be obtained through special conditions not part of the main game
- The main storyline ocvers only 40-50% of the overall game, with the rest being Mob Hunts and Free Missions
- You contract more summons using the License Ring
- Each character has Capacity Points, which determins how many summons he/she can summon at a time


The airship Beiluge:

- This is a massive airship where the party will be travelling in to move from one floating continent to another during the game
- The town that was shown in the third trailer(check initial post for it) is not a town at all, but just the lounge area of the massive airship

did anyone else think the battle system looks like an RTS game? at first i thought it was a tactics game...and i was gonna be pissed cuz i hate those...but then vaan and ashe kept moving...then attacking. yeah. thats what it looked like to me.six_shot

In a way its battle system is a lot like that of a RTS.  FFXII for the PS2 had the updated battle system, which I totally loved.  There is a way to turn off a player's "gambits", but I wouldn't recommend it.  I think that the Final Fantasy series had to update the battle system as a whole (because the series of games were getting to be way to similar), and to me, this was so much needed and more enjoyable with Final Fantasy XII than any other FF game since VII, imo.

 This game looks amazing, if it's half as good as FF XII, that's enough for me :)
