OFFICIAL Pokemon Discussion Thread - Battles, Trades, Tips, General Discussion

Ok, I'm pretty tired of the countless Pokemon threads out there. So let's make an official one! Great idea right? Ok, glad you agree ;).

If you need to arrange a battle, trade or seek advice, use THIS thread. Any general discussion on the games should be done here as well.

This is a DS forum, not a Pokemon one. There shouldn't be nearly a page full of Pokemon-related topics when someone comes to this board.

Mods please sticky this, it is almost impossible to sort through all the Pokemon threads and find ones related to the DS/DSithese days. I've lurked this board for a good few years, and it has become increasingly worse,especially this year.

Posters, please keep this bumped if it is not stickied. I know a lot of you are fed up with the countless Pokemon threads as well.

You can discuss, arrange and give/seek advice now :)

I'm getting Platinum in about two days. Anyone have suggestions on which pokemon to choose first? I always stuck with the water one in the past games because thunder pokemon were fairly hard to come across, while fire and water (the opposites of grass and fire) were easier to end up battling.

honestly, this is kinda pointless. you shouldnt have an official thread for something that has its own forum. this just encourages more poeople to post more pokemon questions and stuff here when they should be in the platinum forum.

Well if people are going to post about pokemon here, they might as well do it in one thread rather than a ton. You can't stop people from posting about Pokemon here, so why not channel all of it into one place?

Chimchar. Once it gets to Infrenape you can take out 3 out of 6 of your rivals pokemon

There's individual gme boards for topics like this, those are there so the ds board isn't flooded with pokemon topics.....
