I'm sick of these blue light threads on the front page so I decided to make an official one. The blue light that glows where the disks are inserted is a notifier for if you get a new message from Nintendo or a friend.
The blue light on the front of my Wii glows from time to time. What does this mean? Does this mean that I have the 5,000,000th Wii, and that I have won $5,000,000???

Actually, it just means that you recieved a message. Most of the time, it's from Nintendo announcing some new channel.
I loooove it when my Wii glows. So creepy, yet so darn cool at the same time. Fooom. Fooom. Fooom. I could just watch it for hours on end.
What gives you the authority to make an "Official" blue light thread? Have you gotten an "Official" clearance from Nintendo authorizing you to make "Official" threads? Are you an "Official" expert on the subject of blue lights?

Dude, it's so cool. It glows in sort of a heartbeat-like pattern and if it's really bright, I can see it from down my stairwell, or in my room. I love the blue light...

It might be because this topic is completely unnecessary.......the blue light is even explained in the stickied thread if anyone ever bothered to look.....

Make sure that it's an incoming message, it won't glow for system messages like acheivements. Also, I don't think it lights up for internal, self-sent messages.
Sometimes people use "Official" or "Unofficial" to get attention, and to hopefully get there threads stickied. It happends sometimes but I think its lame some people go that far imo... Or I could be wrong, but I havent seen that many of the blue lights threads :/ so I donno...
