I think Sonic belongs there but Solid Snake not. I know I'll beat Snake's a$$ with Mario. Sonic has the quality to be there. I rather to have a Mario VS Sonic fight.

The more I see it the more chances Sonic is going to be either a default player or an unlockable character.

How do you know Nintendo is waiting for Sega? It's probably done by now. 

The more I think about Sonic in SSBB, the more I realize he doesn't belong there. There's something wrong about that blue hedgehog brawling with Mario, Samus, and Link. He doesn't fit there.Wintry_Flutist

I think the only people neglecting Sonic are stubborn Nintendo fans. Sonic vs Mario would sell the game ALONE. Imagine a heated bout between Sonic and Mario on Final Destination. Yes, imagine the music.....

It would end those 90's playground battles on who's better.

Yes, he doesn't shock me, he's a very nice addition. But Sonic, the vision of him fighting is weird, and even weirder with all those other characters.

I don't think he would fit in well.  Now, I saw someone already brought up Solid Snake on that, and guess what, he does fit.  Why?  He can punch and kick, as well as use weapons and explosives.  Sonic on the other hand can run fast and...kick...maybe.

But if Sonic does get in, I'll be clamoring for Viewtiful Joe and Rayman :p

I think I know why everyone says he doesn't belong... HE CAN'T FIGHT. Sonic is s speedster not a fighter he has no attacks. Knuckles would make more sense cause he has some attacks. I have a question Have they released and character information since Snake and the gang? Much obliged. elite_s3rpent

Im against the idea of non-nintendo characters in SSB. I even hate the fact that Solid Snake is in it.
Nintendo has enough of its own properties to make a solid roster....like in Melee.

Reaching outside of the nintendoverse is bad idea because it kind of takes away from the 'magic' of the first two games.
