Some of those games are below sub-par, but I agree. It still doesnt justify the fact that todays presentation was horrible. Brickz187Of course not. I'm not here to justify the presentation, I'm here to keep people from overreacting to it.
A list of Nintendo made games doesn't make today's conference any better.presto7640And where exactly did I say that it does?
I would also add that Nintendo are helping with development of Fatal Frame 4, but it seems as though to a lot of people if it didn't appear in the keynote it no longer exist.shearMarioTo what capacity is Nintendo involved with Fatal Frame?
I guess no one cares...famicommanderThe reason no one cares is because they are trying to think up a way to get a different console to compliment their Wii. On a real note, I think most are disappointed because they didn't announce something else. Sure these are great games, but are they done or something? No we know something is in the works... but it isn't even close enough to care.

They are helping with development and publishing the title

"Fatal Frame 4: The Mask of the Lunar Eclipse (tentative translation) has been announced exclusively for Nintendo's console with such key players as Shibata Makoto as director, Keisuke Kikuchi (longtime series producer), and even Suda 51 – best known for Killer 7 and No More Heroes – serving as a second director for the game. In addition, the game is a full-on partnership between Tecmo and Nintendo, and will be published with the Nintendo name headlining the product."

Ok, if that wasn't your point then what is? That Nintendo still makes games? I think we're aware of that.

My point is that one bad conference doesn't mean Nintendo has forgotten about us, or that the casual games are the only ones we're going to be seeing in the future. That seems to be the prevailing attitude around here, and it's ridiculous.[QUOTE="Brickz187"]Some of those games are below sub-par, but I agree. Yeah you got a good point. It isnt nothing to go over reacting about, but I can see why some people are dissapointed. Im ok with getting WarioLand soon, the game looks awesome. Also, Mario Sluggers looks pretty good, too bad there is no Wifi, but it's still worth it to me. Alot of people are just worried that there will be more games like Wii Music and Wii fit coming, which I have no doubt there will be. But im also sure that we will get our fair share of nintendo gamees plus a good amount of 3rd parties as well.
That's very nice to hear. They are helping with development and publishing the title

But Nintendo still has a large catalog of franchises yet to make an appearance. Star Fox, Custom Robo, Wave Race, F-Zero, Kirby, Baten Kaitos, Pikmin, etc. Kirby Wii and Pikmin have even been hinted at.
I think the problem people are having is that these games you just named off haven't made an appearance yet and people are wondering why.
Out of all those games, Brawl is the only one that came out this year. You're deluded.chazasul
Mario Kart?
Out of all those games, Brawl is the only one that came out this year. You're deluded.chazasulWhat about Disaster, Mario Sluggers, Wario Land, and Animal Crossing? Disaster has been quiet lately, but the others seem to be going forward at full steam. Any anyway, it's July. How many big game releases would one expect before the holiday season?

Because it takes time to develop games? Nintendo has two hugely successful platforms to provide games for, and they only have so many first and second party studios. You can't expect them to come out with 25 games from all of their key franchises in less than two years. In fact, MORE Nintendo franchises have made an appearance on the Wii than had after two years of the Gamecube. It took the Gamecube over four years to have every franchise represented, and they still didn't get to them all.HEYHEYHEYHEYHEY
i never said they hate hardcore gamers. i just say that they werent giving a sht tohardcore gamers ON THIS YEAR'S CONFERENCE
come on... reggie said GTA chinatown (still find that ridiculous) and animal crossing were the hardcore games. WTF?!?!?
im really hoping for a secret announcement of a hardcore game.

I thought he was joking. Heck, the entire conference was a joke. But I agree, that's not hardcore. I do want Animal Crossing, though.

You know, to get people excited/sell more units in anticipation.
And as for developement, I point you here.
Nothing new about Disaster, unfortunately. Monolith said that they are delaying it to improve the quality of the finished product.Yeah, what about this game? Was there anything about it at E3?
(It took me a while to get this quote down to just that picture! RESPECT ME!) :D

Wow, that actually is very encouraging to me. Miyamoto seemed very excited for the future in the first link, almost not being able to refrain from saying yes! That is a very good sign.
I'm also excited about this answer regarding the wii storage problem-
"There isn't anything that we can announce today, but we have been thinking along a variety of different lines regarding this matter for some time now," Shigeru Miyamoto told IGN. "So my hope is that sometime in the not too distant future we will be able to discuss some concrete solutions."
All sounds good to me :)
Donkey Kong barrel Blast is so hard core...X-RemnantThat wasn't my point at all. My point is that since similar games existed last generation, Nintendo isn't really doing anything different in relation to its established franchises.
What people seem to be forgetting is that Nintendo's market strategy is to get the new gamer first and then get those gamers to "graduate" from the "casual" games and move on to the more structured game. This was already proven when Nintendo released Nintendogs(which sold really well) and then months later New Super Mario Bros. which sold really well because of that new demographic. Once Nintendo is satisfied with its new found customer they will move on to more sophisticated games. So it may seem like they are aiming at the expanded audience, well, that's because they are. and when next year rolls around we are going to see more sophisticated games.
