My Wii was an impulse buy as well. Not a very good decision on my part, I haven't turned on my Wii in probably 4 months...:(

However! I'm thinking about getting the new Dead Space and/or Little King's world or whatever its called.

Eh. You spent the 150 bucks. Why not keep it. Seems more ideal.

Well, what do you like? What would you spend the money on otherwise? It would make it much easier for you if you turned this into a choice between two different things as opposed to an open ended question.

Muramasa is supposed to be good.

If you can afford to throw around money that easily...

I'm a Nigerian Prince. Send me $200 and I'll give you a jillion dollars after I smuggle it into the US.

Don't get all high and mighty, its not like you have never made a purchase in your life that you hadn't completely thought through. He saw a good deal and acted before he was sure, it wasn't like he was ripped off. This could turn out to be a good choice

Which party games we talking about? Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games? Cause I'm pretty sure no one on Gamespot is going to buy that lol.

Monster Hunter 3, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Metroid: Other M, the next Zelda, No More Heroes 2, Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom, New Super Mario Bros., Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, or Red Steel 2............DeeDeeDee-er
Those are the games you should be buying.

Well, now that you have it, you might as well play a few games on it - As 2D brawlers go, Muramasa is pretty awesome. If you like games like Dishwasher, you will get blown away. There;s a pretty long list of games you should try out - the suggestion threads are all around, check 'em out.

You would know better than us. I have had a Wii since launch and have not really played it much over the last year. I am keeping it for the few big titles like Zelda and Metroid (I am sure there will be more). If you will be dying to play Zelda then keep it but if there are not any games that really interest you return it.

Keep it. It's cool to have all 3, this way you can never miss out on a game. It's not like there is nothing on the wii. 2010 looks to be pretty good. I hear muramasa and a boy and his blob is pretty good. Punch Out is cool.

Keep. Much better FPSs and a much better arcade experience (i.e. Rail Shooters, Shawn White and Skate It with the balance board, Mario, etc.). There are some great games like Metroid: Other M and Monster Hunter Three comming out soon as well.

It has nothing to do with "going around". It has to do with someone making an uninformed purchase and no one is perfect in that respect. Not only that he can return it still. I don't believe that you have never made an uninformed purchase in your life and wondered if you could have spent your money better afterwords. He bought a game system, presumably one that you have also bought. He probably spent less on it than you and you act like he was stupid for buying it. Are you pretending that you haven't ever spent money on a game you aren't sure you will like? Cuz thats a very similar situation to the one he is in just on a smaller scale.

yeh at first i hated the wii after playing through my games, but if you get more involved with the wii, downloading games, playing more exclusives, it gets to be very fun. and get in touch with a lot of the online community rite here. and if you learn to appreciate different types of gaming besides what u see on the other consoles and learn that graphics dont make a game at all, then u will learn to love the wii like i do. find a few games that u can play for hours a day and you are set.

Also, get MadWorld, No More Heroes 1, Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles, The Conduit, Dead Space: Extraction and House of the Dead: Overkill. Give Muramasa a look too, it's very good. There's a lot of other great ones like Metroid Prime Trilogy, etc. Girls love guys with Wiis. ;)

There are a ton of great exclusives on every console. They are all worth owning. Not playing a system for a while or selling one because you don't want to bother finding games for it is just stupid. If you think of yourself as a gamer (i'm assuming you do as you are on the gamespot forums) you should try as many games on as many systems as you can afford. Just because some moron says the Wii is only for party games and kids doesn't mean its true. Its like when people say the 360 has only shooters and the PS3 has no games, any real research will prove none of that stuff is true. Personally the Wii is my favorite console, but I regulary play all my other systems as they all have something offer. So don't sell your Wii you got for cheap unless you really need the money for something. Just spend about 10 minutes looking up good games for it, there are at least 25-50 really good games I'm sure you could find and if that's not enough to warrant having a console then you are just too picky.

Thats just it though its not about intelligence, its about time. If you see something that is 25% below the market price and you don't buy it then, you may have missed out. It is intelligent in many circumstances to make that purchase 1) cuz hes said he can return it 2) cuz he could probably sell it for 150 if he looked around enough. Its not about "getting what he deserves" in this case. If he had bought something that was wildly overpriced and not returnable then maybe you could say stuff about him, but thats not the situation. This is like if you spent money on a game you weren't completely sure was gonna be fun for you for a cheaper than average price while knowing that you could probably sell it and even it out. There is not place for people to look down on anyone here because it wasn't that bad a purchase and there is no way that no one here hasn't made a similar mistake. Also, I am not arguing that people need to feel bad for him, just that its stupid to judge someone on something like this

But $150 isn't exactly a small sum of money. Granted it's not a TON of money but it's a nice amount. So the idea that you just walk into a store and see something for $150 and buy it on impulse without thinking it over makes it sound like you toss money around easily. He's not trying to be a jerk, he's playing with you. Get it now? Everybody laugh at the funny joke. Ha ha ha.

Not omniscient, I just understand that people make mistakes and I find the comparison between falling for a nigerian prince scam and buying a console for 150 and realizing that maybe you should return it because you MIGHT not get your moneys worth out of it is just an incorrect one

[QUOTE="DeeDeeDee-er"][QUOTE="young80s"][QUOTE="Blue_Panda"] haha young80s u dont get it. hes talking abotu those emails everyone gets where somebody goes "im a nigerian prince, my cousin just died and left a huge sum of money that is undisclosed. if oyu send me your credit card i will be able to funnel the cash, with no loss to you, and you will recieve a percentage of the money" etc. ahahahhahahahaha

No, I get it. I just didn't think that it was fair or relevant to someone who bought a game system for a decent deal

Ha ha ha.

Once again, I understood the joke, but I thought it was misplaced and not relevant due to the fact that the TC said he can return it and the fact that 150 is 25% off the market price. So while not a small amount of money, if you buy something at 25% market price as long as he hasn't damaged it he could probably sell it to a friend for a similar price.

Sounds like a good plan. If you take good care of the Wii, and its packaging, you might just be able to resell it for $150.

Has anyone ever told you you have a terrible sense of humor? It was 100% relevant and it wasn't a bad joke at all. Lighten up.
