So do I soo...I'll leave em in.
When I bought my Wii which, was Thursday, I was really looking forward to being able to turn my Wii on and off with my Wii controller. I thought that I could (lazily) turn my Wii on without getting out of bed and pick up in my game where I let offthe night before. But when I was reading my instructions, it said too take out my game disk when I was done. :( Bummer. So my question is, canI leave a game disk in my Wii, or will it hurt it? If so, how long can I keep it in my Wii?JellyfishMan
you can leave it in, but if you want it to last FOREVER and never break, it's better if you take the disk out before turning it off.

Actually, the disc is probably used to a lot more heat than you realize. Friction causes heat. The heat from WiiConnect isn't going to make that disc any hotter than when its spinning full speed while your playing a game.

Telling you not to leave a disc in the Wii is just legalese that Nintendo has to feed you so they can avoid class action lawsuits. Here's some other examples:
Caution, contents may be hot - on a coffee cup
Caution, may contain peanuts - on peanut M&Ms
Caution, cape does not allow you to fly - on a toy Superman cape
I only take the disc out when I need to transport my Wii.
