Ok so I was thinking...wouldnt the gameboy library be a good addition to the vc?

While I dont doubt that nintendo is already thinking about this. If they did do it it would be a loooong time before they worked up to the greatness of gba. The only logical price I could think of is old school GB = $3 , gbc = $4 , gba =$5 ......any thoughts?

Yes it would. I would love to play Super Mario Land 2 : Six Golden Coins againm, and many others. I don't think that it would be very difficult to do, it's just not anywhere near the top of their list of priorities.

I actually think they might put a Gameboy VC into their next handheld.

This is a great idea. I still own a ton of my old school gameboy games, but being able to play them on a tv would be much nicer than having the huge cartridge stick out of my DS.

I have also thought a lot about this. Remember when Nintendo was talking about contectivity of the DS and Revolution ages ago? Before the release of the Wii? I believe this will happen. You would be able to download Gameboy, and Advance games etc, directly to your DS. They were talking about 2 decades of software, why would they not include one, if not their biggest money maker - Handheld gaming.

I think it would be better just to add GB to the Wii's VC and have some sort of USB connectivity between the new GB and the Wii allowing you to transfer them

chances are there will never be handheld games on the VC for the Wii as it's pretty much for home systems as far as I have seen from everything Nintendo has said.

That seems overly complicated, and not to mention self limiting...since it would require the user of the next DS (yeah, DS, I see the GB line as offically dead) to also have a Wii.

i do not think the next gb should have a gb vc its more easier to just make the next gb backwards capable with ds gba gbc gb then to pay millions for adding 3rd party titles

Yeah, kind of like how sony requires you to have a PS3 in order to download PS1 games for the psp.

That's a good point, but I would still like to seem some sort of connectivity.

I created a thread about GBA games on the VC as well.
Surprisingly all I got was a bunch of people who either didn't like the idea, or just shot it down as absurd.
I for one would crap my pants at the chance to play the GBA Castlevania games on my tv. It'd be like SotN finally got a sequel.

And I hope nobody's already recommended a GB Player in this thread. Come on, those things are expensive and good luck finding them anywhere except for on eBay. GB Player isn't an option anymore.
