They aren't perfect but they deffinatly don't ruin the expecrience. The combat's controls aren't perfect but they still work fine.

The game as a whole is still fantastic and the combat doesn't bog the experience down or anything.

I didn't get a chance to play the game until today.

Overall, I think the controls are fine. The Wii remote works great with the brush technique, no doubt about that.

It seems in the Wii version, Amaterasu doesn't pick up speed as fast as she was in PS2. This is a good thing actually, cuz it would be easier to spot things on the road.

But I thought during combat, the basic attack doesn't work as well as the PS2 version, in terms of responsiveness.

The picture has been brightened up, both in a good way and a bad way. We get more clarity, but we also lose some of that water-colour feel in the PS2 version, unfortunately.

It's really too bad that the Wii doesn't have an optical output for audio, cuz Okami has such a beautiful soundtrack, and I would love to hear it through my home theatre system just like I did with the PS2 version. Better audio always enhances the gaming experience.

Likely the reviewers who complained about the brush technique didn't realize it's IR not motion controlled meaning you have to aim at the tv.

Is it just me or is it painfully appearant that a large amount of reviewers dont appreaciate the Wii controls and are very biased against them. That doesnt mean they are biased towards the Wii necessarily but it does mean that they seem to no matter what batter Wii controls even when they are nearly spot on. Game trailers and Game Spot often say "motion controls a bit unreliable" then you go to more in depth reviews and find out they usually have more positives than negatives to the old controls just like Okami ESP with the Brush.
