lol yes exactly... I was just thinking that the other day.yeah the big N needs to get on the ball with this. the whole Wii code system is broken, its like we're on a prison network where no has names you are just a number

I dont care what fanboys of Nintendo say, who have never played an online game say, the Wii needs online. Online adds depth to games, and replay value. Online is one of the best things to happen to games, last gen systems had online and yet the Wii doesnt...yet. For me next gen is a new gameplay experience, and the Wii delivers on that with the Wiimote, but it doesnt have online. If it wasnt for online Halo 2 wouldnt be popular and neither would Gears of War, it can make or break a game. So stop saying online is stupid, and all the people are pedophiles and scream NOOB!!111 OMGZ!!11 They dont sound like that....soulfood4

Halo didn't have online. It was popular. Online is not fun for all, particularly for those who don't dedicate themselves to a game, which whether you like it or not, that audience is going to be the majority on Wii.yodariquoHalo had online. It just didnt use Live. I should know, I played it all the time against my buddies in Cali.
I both agree and disagree. I agree because I recognize that having online playability is where gaming is headed, and has been headed (at least with console gaming) since the Dreamcast. Still, I would much rather have a solid single-player experience. That's not to say online gaming isn't fun, but it's not important to me. y2kzorakWell i think we should have both, a great single player experience is great, but after you beat it whats there to do?

Actually they do say things like that.

Well thats avery small percentage and i've only heard it on Halo 2. And i've played Crackdown, Gears, Saints Row, Prey, CoD3, and Far Cry online and never heard them say that...Heh and yet another one.... Online does not give more depth to a game, thats silly. Be real son... Online multiplayer is a bonus to a game, therefore not being "EXTREMELY IMPORTANT" like you say.WR_PlatinumWhat? Are you kidding me, a bonus? So if Halo 2 didnt have online it would still be as good as they are saying it is? It adds replay value, Gears i beat in 2 days, and i've owned it since Nov. so your telling me i'd still be playing that game if it didnt have online? Okay..., i've been playing online ONLY since i beat the game...
I just hope that if its taking this long to get online games with the Wii then Nintendo must be working really hard on it cus the longer all of us wait then the more excited we are going to get and if Nintendo screw online up in the months to come then we are gonna be twice as dissapointed!. Dont let us down Nintendo!!EvilsmilerYup all there doing is building up hype....so it better be good...also i want a headset...
I have to say ONLINE is Extremely Important but It totally kills locational style . Take for example Super smash. only 5 percent of Smash players play pro. Everybody else don't even know about wavedashing. Waveshining , L- cancelling  ETC. When a game like smash goes online everybody will learn these moves and people will copy styles of each other which is lame. So online is beneficial and hurtful at the same time.Well cheaters are annoying but some games arent like that...

I'm not talking about cheaters...I'm talking about people's playing styel -_-" Let me give you an example THIS Is Zelgadis, a pro Fox player. He invented the styel he plays with, now if smash went online EVERBODY would be trying to copy his styel and thats really lame. That happened to Halo when it went online. That video is real time just FYI :P

This is irrelevant, but I think that your signature is absolutely hilarious.JayMatthews06yeah that sig is freakin funny. im glad i dont have a brother.
Online is okay... I'm not too bothered with it.
". So stop saying all the people [online] scream NOOB!!111 OMGZ!!11 They dont sound like that.... "
Well, in my experience they do. Maybe you're not talking about Xbox live though. But then EVERYONE wants the Wii's online to be like Xbox Live so I'm sure if I do play online all I'll hear is "NOOB!!111 OMGZ!!11"... I just hope the Wii games don't end up sucking like Halo 2 because they only focus on the online... because then I'll stop playing.

Irrelevant to what?! It's the first post! If you're referring to relevence toward the console wars, then I must say that I agree completely that online is important, because quite frankly, the Wii SUCKS at this point. Every game I've played feels like it's either an extended tech demo or a collection of minigames that are fun for 10 minute runs. I actually thought about getting several Wii games, but ultimately decided that there's no point to them; there's nothing to unlock, or if there is, there's no further replay value. I used to be 100% content with games like that, but ever since I discovered online, the whole concept of how to have fun with games has changed. The concept of actually competing with everyone else in the world to get a higher score than them, or if you're not into that, playing multiplayer anytime you want while talking to people all over the world literally feels like you're creating your own game experience with living, breathing people, as opposed to pre-programmed images that always act the same. The harsh reality is, while playing single-player games is still fun, it lacks depth if that's all there is to the experience. I used to be a huge Nintendo fan, but ever since the last part of the Gamecube's life, Nintendo seems to be living in the past. Yes, it's going out on it's own innovative tangent with all this touch screen crap, but that only goes so far before you realize that there's other people outside your own little world playing really good games without you.
Single Player is better. Before I had a Wii I had my 360 with gold and I still do.
Now, playing the same matches over and over with the same goals gets boring for me. I prefer SP, besides, Up to date news, web browser etc > online gaming.
Take GRAW for example, most matches are team elimination in "nowhere" after playing the same game type on the same map for ages it gets boring after a while. What about GEARS, thats just so limited that most matches are the same, just different map.
