You can save entire VC games to your SD card. But the games can't be played from the card and you can only copy them back onto your own Wii. It's really only for extra storage space.Â
It would be cool if we could trade our vc games online. I beat gunstar heroes and I don't want it anymore. ish_gibbor
be real now, you know nintendo isn't going to do that. If you could do that we all could play the entire vc library for only like 10 dollars which isn't going to happen.
No, that wouldn't be good. It would cause so many problems that Nintendo would be better off getting rid of the service.
This is why no one can ever complain about the ways that these games are reviewed here because you spend TODAY'S money on them so they better live up to TODAY'S standards.
It could work. to trade your VC games it would cost you 100 or 200 points. Then Nintendo is making money on every trade. I think 100 points if fine.
A company just started this service it is called gottaplay.com You can pay a monthly fee to trade so many games a month, and you can also pay per trade. Basically you are paying them to ship for you. It seems cool. You put your games you want to trade on there and trade for games you want. There is a point system set up. Each game is worth so many points. That way you cannot trade an old PS2 game for a new 360 game. It will take like 2-3 ps2 games to equal enough points for a game like rainbow six vegas.
After you make the trade gottplay sends both of you the slip to ship your games to each other. They make about $1.30 for every trade.
So that is what Nintendo should do, charge us 100 points $1 for each and every trade we make.
You are also paying the rights to permently download the game as many times as you want. You own the download license to it.
Also the games are the price of a game rental. In the old days we would have had to pay 8 bucks to rent for two-three days and 40-50 bucks to own a cart of the game.
Learn some perspective you scammer wannabes.
Developers really hate the idea of video game resaling because of they make no money on it. I can't believe that somebody would be really upset about spending $10 on a game. It is almost like going to a resturant paying for a meal, and then later asking the the resturant for some money back because you are hungry still. Why is VC any diferent from that?gooflee
Well the reason i think is because the gamer are old...people dont wanna pay 10 bucks for an old game...theyre just overpricing most vc games which is why i havent gotten any yet although i was thinking of getting gunstar heroes.Â

Yeah I guess thats the general idea when making consoles! :lol:Â
I guess I have to outline exactly how Nintendo would make money if they allowed us to trade our VC games.
1. Ever time you trade ANYTHING Nintendo makes $1.
2. Once you trade the game is gone, you cannot play it anymore.
Now you buy a game for $8 bucks. You whoop the hell out of it, then you are bored. You go to the trading pool and trade your game for another game, Nintendo just made $2. Remember it cost each of you a dollar to make a trade. You both get tired of that game and make another trade with someone. Nintendo just made another $4. You get bored again make a trade, Nintendo made another $2. Imagine that there are 100 trades a day. That is $200 a day Nintendo makes.
Sure after a while every single game will be up for trade, and there will be no reason to buy a game because you can trade for any game out there, accept new games. Someone has to buy it first before it hits the trading pool. Also all new people that do not own a VC game will have to buy a game before they can trade. Because you can only trade VC games for VC games. You cannot trade them for points or money.
People like me will only buy a few games from VC and then never buy a game again, unless they come out with some new cool games. For instance they are supposed to be releasing indy games for VC. Yay, interesting games that will use the wii mote.
And I stress again, when a new game is released some people have to buy it before it hits the trading pool. Lots will not want to wait to try this new game, which they will have to wait if they want to trade for it. So Nintendo will still sell a decent amount of copies of new games. Nintendo could also make it so that new games are not available to trade until they have been on the market for a while.
If done properly they could make more money allowing trades than not.

That's all well and good for the guy like you that wants to spend less to get more, but for Nintendo your strategy makes no sense. Instead they'd rather charge you full price, you have the licence and you're done.
They (Nintendo or other publishers) don't allow you to simply trade your $50 game in with $10 to get a new game (or a different used one). You need to go to a game store for that.  The only ones making out in that deal are the game stores, but that's only because they pay tiny ammounts and charge close to what the new game costs.Â

I am not saying it is not an awsome game, it is. And the last string of bosses is sort of hard to beat. But after beating the game I will probably not want to play it for a few years. Now a game like Street Fighter II, I can find my self playing here and there. Especially if I could play it online.
