I bought mine at walmart. In 80 days i'm gonna return it get my money back, buy a new one from target return 90 days later or until I see a good buy, like get DS lite get free game or something for the holiday. The wal mart DS is perfect.

Have you guys noticed that the Onyx DS Lite has more problems than the other two colors (White and Pink)? I wonder why. I also wonder how problematic the Coral Pink one is, since the Polar White seems to be the most problem-free of all. Weird.
but if you wanted to exchange it then it woulnt be a problem right? you woulnt have to buy like warranty or anything? since the yellow screen was like that when you bought it.?

Yeah; basically, Nintendo only asks you to prove that you bought the system brand new a year ago at the most, so if you have an original receipt or some other form of proof of purchase, you can ship it to Nintendo and they'll fix it for free. Check their website for full details.
dang so you wounld have to ship it instead of just exchanging it at the store where you bought it, but i guess it'll be worth it in the long run, thanks man
oh god... it seems like the onyx DS has more problems then the other colors....i havent heard any complaints from the Colar pink... is it becouse no one actually bought it ? o-o ?
im glad the white ds lite is the one with the less probalems im thinking about buying it during the holidays. Someone said theres going to be a price drop and theyll be $99. Anyway i have a question. Do you need a warranty if you get a ds lite with a crack to have nintendo replace it for free?
Mine is pretty darn good, not a single dead pixel. Yes there is a slight yellowishness to the bottom screen but to be honest if no one had mentioned it, I probably wouldn't have noticed it. Very happy with my black DS Lite.
i would like to know if the yellow touch screen is a defect as i have just bought mine 2 days ago and i noticed straght away how yellow it was compared to my sons white ds lite.
I got the black DS lite here in the UK for christmas, mine seems fine, no dead pixels and the screen is really clear, however it does really like to get marked with finger prints pretty bad:P
You guys seem to say that only Black DS's get dead pixels and yellow tint? Well I got a white DS That got 4 problems!

Clicking Volime (Lopsided, clicky when holding straight, maybe this is normal, I don't know)
 4 Problems and mines white! And even worse, its the FFXII R W DS Lite, I paid a good 400 bucks for this, it came with the game though (like 340 + 35 UPS + Tax and fees). Play-Asia won't refund me =(
Hey tc,you should have added a fifth option about faulty d pads.Some people,including me,who bought an onyx ds lite had trouble moving characters diagonally in some games.
