Ocarina's been remade a lot, but how does it comapre to Majora's Mask? I've only played MM once, and I messed up the save system, lost my progress, (1st dungeon) and gave up. (I'm aware MM was rereleased as well)
Since I got the OoT/Master Quest bonus disc with WW (and couldn't get hold of the Collector Edition that contains MM) and since I beat OoT more than 30 times, while I merely beat MM once, I'm wanting MM for the VC more than OoT .I still own both for the N64, but I don't like touching my N64 :o
have both for n64 and beat them both multiple times. I can tell you that they are extremely different games and MM is darker than Ocarina (maybe even darker than TP) but I like them both.. SPOILERS! MM has harder bosses but not as many as OoT and MM also has a more open ended world cuz u can do tons of sidequests to get all of the masks.. OoT has A slightly better story because you go from a child to adult and that game defines all of the zelda timelines. Also, The boss battle is cool in MM but you dont get to fight ganon which sux.
MM is better just because it was different than all the other Zelda's. It didn't even have Zelda or Ganondorf. SOme of the masks are pretty cool too. nintendofreak_2
Well...MM strayed from the somewhat typical Zelda storyline, as you said. IMO, the one thing that made it stand out from most was the fact that that world felt alive. You actually got involved with the characters' daily lives. No other Zelda has yet to have done that.

And the soundtrack. Even though I haven't played the game in ages, I still listen to it regularly. Astral Observatory and Song of Healing are way too godly.
I'm looking forward to MM :). I just recently beat OOT again on my cube (still waiting on my Wii pre-order) to satisfy my TP cravings :p. I havn't beat MM in a loooooooooong time though so I'll be playing through that bad boi again (it was a great game in it's own right). Although I do think that Oot was deffinetly the better game. It done things no game had done before. Playing Oot for the frst time was one of the highlights of my childhood :')
For me its hard to decide between them, thats why i got the collectors edition thing. I thing that MM has harder temples collectively making up for having fewer. OoT however, was a longer experience and overall was more enjoyable, if they are both availible for purchase on the VC get them both.
Definately MM, i just loved the time aspect and watching the characters daily schedule. This is the game I would like most on the virtual console but i would probaly still get OoT.
MM was in my opinion my favorite Zelda all around. It had an original and engaging story, difficultly was just right, the people in Termina felt so alive and I cared for them. Especially Anju and Kaifi(sp?). Everyone in the town, I grew a feeling to and after the game was over of sadness. I have never felt a feeling of accomplishment this big after beating the game towards any other Zeldas than I did with this game.
