Well, at first I hated the idea of the 3DS. Now with the new games, I kind of like it. Did your opinion change about the 3DS, too?

I knew I was going to get one before E3; it's just that I wouldn't have been in too big a hurry in wanting one at launch.
After E3, not only do I want it on launch day, but I already have a mountain of games I want for it on it. :D

This, exactly this. Except that it's always been a day one purchase for me.
No. I liked DS lite, but for some unkown reason (yes I was idiot) I sold it.
3D without glasses, big plus for me. Analog pad. Can take 3D photos. Switching between 3D and 2D with slider.
But I didn't imagine that the lineup would be that great. Good thing developers like kojima are interested in 3d :P
I was thinking of buying psp or ds, but its pretty obvious that 3DS is the choice. Unless they reveal psp2 before 3ds is released. Its back to psp2 vs. 3ds for me then again.
After seeing the hardware and software I am SO MUCH more excited then I thought I would be. I had no interest before, now I am without a doubt buying one.
No, my opinion didn't change and when they showed Kid Icarus Uprising it's going to STAY unchanged.
(in case you're wondering I've wanted 3DS as soon as I heard that it will have Gamecube graphics.)
at first I was enthused about the idea because of the potential for a complete DS overhaul. I was really very let down by the fact that the design is basically the same and that they couldn't get a touch screen with 3D. I liked the idea of having the dual screens open up into one giant, 3D screen. I still accept their reasoning for why you can't have touch and 3D on the same screen but it is disappointing. However, the great software, 3D camera, upgraded online capability and just the whole package re sold me mid-speech at the nintendo conference. I've been thinking about getting a handheld for a while and I think I'm getting a 3DS. It's just an exciting device and it will be at a reasonable price
I was always excited for it, and after seeing the conference am even more so.
I'd like to wait to see if MGS 2, and maybe Twin Snakes will be put on the 3DS so I don't have to buy a PS2.Jordo321
Twin Snakes is for the GameCube.
I love all the non believers who are jumping on now. Hopefully you guys have learned your lesson to not believe in Nintendo.
Its highly unlikely sony will have a psp2 announced prior to launch of 3ds mainly due to they are working on a psp phone.No. I liked DS lite, but for some unkown reason (yes I was idiot) I sold it.

I get a financial aid check for aid given to me that exceeds the costs of my tuition every semester, Usually i get a good chunk of money and i will again this august
I'm gonna use a majority of that money for School Books, Car Repairs, but for sure i'm going to GameStop the day i get the money and throwing down $200 on a 3DS pre order, release date or not

The PSP Phone is a rumor. As far as I know it has never been officially announced or even been "leaked". Regardless, the PSP phone would be terrible.

psp phone would be an awesome idea though.Well today I got my hands on one and I must say I'm very impressed with the 3D. The RE demo cinematics were amazing and you could zoom in and out of the scene and move the camera around. I can't even imagine what the gameplay would be like.
PLUS, Mario Kart 3D looks amazing. The 3D looks just as good as it would with glasses in a theater but without the eye strain. I think the 3DS is the hit of the show and definitely impressive.
What I want for next E3 is a 3D console that flips open with a 19' inch screen. That would be amazing and if I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo's next console is a full 3D console that flips open to a large widescreen monitor. 3DS is sick. But I do wish it was a tad bigger. Good E3 today, more tomorrow. Oh, and Castlevania Lords of Shadow is the sleeper hit for me so far at the show. Amazing looking on an HD screen.
I was indifferent and curious at the same time. no real intention on buying it.
then after the E3 show. sold.
3DS game list came out. solid even more.
now apparently according GAF

if it is possible to software install a few of your 3DS games onto your 3DS... (of course there will be a catch due to piracy that may occur)...
Nintendo has somehow found a Saudi Arabia of Epic Sauce somewhere.....

At first when I heard 3DS, I was like hmmm I don't know... sounds like just a 3D thing to me. Then I saw E3, and was like hmmm maybe. Then saw a few games and went OMFG BBQ Sauce must get.
I'm so excited right now. I want it NAO!!:o
No, I knew it would suck and it still sucks. It's been like 5 years, and it only has ps2 graphicsish? Just get an atom proc, or an arm based chipset and stick it in there and it will rip it apart. Good GPU is required as well obviously.
Have fun getting rev1 models, since Nintendo loves to keep making new revisions every day. It's pretty much a scam.
Ninty's showing changed my opinion completely. Monday a hated the 3DS and Tuesday it became a day one purchase.
Now can some one explain to me the point of the DSi and DSi XL?

Then what, my friend, do you consider a great handheld?

double_a73
Well the point of the DSiXL is to have a handheld with a real screen.
I don't know why Nintendo doesn't think we want better when it comes to a handheld.
The whole point in visual tech is to get a bigger area to see and now the 3DS isn't even out and most people's cell phones have a bigger viewing area
Everyone raved about the XL's size and you would think the onward trend woudl be to keep that size and shrink everything around it to make it more form fitting. Instead we have everything small.

But why release the DSi series when Ninty's next gen handheld would be out less than a year later.
The DSi Xl and 3DS were being developed at the same time for crying out loud

An Atom is still far too power-hungry for a handheld. The high end arm-based systems are better, but you would still only get a few hours of battery life at best. And there is the cost factor.
A scam? No, that's just business. Sony has made several revisions to the PSP as well.
