Original DS or lite?

Screens brighter .. it was quite a dark screen with the original.

I prefer the lite myself, because its small, shiny, and the screen is nice and bright.

My boyfriend prefers the original version better though. I think he has trouble with the buttons, and doesn't like the way it feels in his hands too much.

I like the way the Lite ones look better

This for me is a hard decision.

To most of you the lite seems much better, but i have problems with it,

The hinge issue is the main one.

after treating it like royalty for 9 months, the hinge cracks.i ask if the warranty covers it, but guess what? it doesnt!

i could get a reduced price of 50 dollars. but i dont have that type of money.

So my dad ended up glueing it. It does seem like its splitting in half anymore, but the Right bumper is stuck.

Who in their right mind would pick the Original DS?

The Lite has screen brightness options, it's smaller and a much better button layout.

Microphone is in a better place aswell.

Original, if you need something to throw at someone and obtain maximum impact.

If you want a nice screen and a light weight handheld, then the Lite is the way to go.

Still have the original but lost my 2 stylus's. don't like the new stylus's cause no where to put them. Originals are always more better and sturdier, newer ones improve greatly but costly.

Same idea why buy a new DS lite when I can buy more games.

Wait to find a DS Lite if someone loses theirs. Or if they come down in price to under $100

I like the way the phat feels in my hands better but I love the brightness of the Lite (I have the lite).

Nintendo DS lite because the origional looks so cheap outside and in game plus I have a black ds lite and I can't put it down if I still had my origional ds I would have thrown it away by now.

I just recently decided into looking into a DS, and from what I have seen and heard, I like the Lite more. Although I have heard that the original DS is more durable, I like the Lite's design. I also like how you can change the brightness of the screen, which is nice because I have bad eyes. I'm going to buy a Lite tommorow. Even if I wanted an normal DS, where would I find one? I'd have to order it offline. If I just had a DS though, I wouldn't upgrade. I would just get more games.

but once again my old ds started to corrupt data after a few years.

i had some good stuff in a game once and i lost it.i had to get it back.my lite is working better than ever after a few big drops.

i personly would get a lite.

Hmmm..., I was wondering, why do you guys say DS "phat" instead of "fat"?

The Lite for sure. It has the best backlighting on any handheld I've played since my Game Gear. You can actually see the screen in the sun. One thing about handheld gaming that always frustrated me was having to tilt your game around to see it in the sun. The DS Lite finally really fixes that problem.

Oh, and its sleek, sexy, and I love where they put the stylis.

afew weeks later i hoped back on my old ds to compare the things changed and i half forgot where the stylus was lol.:P
