Original Gamecube controller for wii?

:question: There's a flap you can open on top of the Wii with 4 GC controller slots and 2 memory cards.. :|

EDIT: And Wavebirds use the same slots as regular GC controllers, btw.. 

Theres a flap on the wii you lift and magically the gamecube slots appear.

I sold my gamecube months ago but still have an orginal gamecube controller, I was unable to find a slot to put my original gamecube controller in. Is there any kind of adapter that would enable me to play gamecube/VC games with my original controller or will I be forced to buy wireless wavebird?Lucas1981

 You my friend, are an idiot. In the best sense of the word however... but even if you bought a Wavebird, you'd still need to plug it in..
