Still working on SMG2, but once I'm done, I'm planning to buy the original SMG. Today I was at BB and Walmart and neither of them had it in stock. Is there a chance they stopped producing it with the release of the sequel?

Pretty sure it's still in production. Retailers like Walmart and Best Buy might not carry it on the shelves since it's not new or discounted. Try a store that's more specialized in selling games.

It seems crazy to see the first Mario Galaxy still having a $50 price tag right next to its sequel, eh?

Almost all successful 1st party games for the Wii are that way. I waited 2 years for Super Smash Bros. to drop in price, and eventually gave up when it didn't.

There is like zero copies on eBay. There use to be tons up for auction. SMG2 must have caused the extreme rise of SMG original sales. That's good!
