Overrated DS games?

Let's face it, everyone will come across games they feel are overrated at one point or another. What DS games do you feel don't deserve their hype?

Mario Kart DS. Come on, this was a downgrade to Double Dash in almost every way, and online is passable at best. If you don't run into a snaker, you'll be playing a small match where luck seriously factors into the conclusion.

Chrono Trigger. I just can't see what's amazing about CT. Nothing it does is really amazing other than its music... And the outdated graphics don't really help.

New Super Mario Bros EASILY, I mean come on:

No Yoshi
No flying
Very easy
Very short
Fire Flower was in every ? block and you rarely got the new power ups
No co-op even though it was shown in the first trailer

And the amount of sales and high scores it got....*facepalm*

Final Fantasy CC, Metroid Hunters and Animal Crossing were pretty boring in my eyes.

As for Chrono Trigger n Mario Cart those are both favorate games of mine.
I loved them alot back in the Snes days, prolly the reason i love the ds versions so much.

Almost no secret levels and is waaay too easy. I was expecting super mario world style back then.

well, it get 8.5 in IGN....which is the reason i try out this game.....

i agree with you. i rented it and beat it in about two days. i was like super mario bros. 3 was so much harder and it at least had more items than a fire flower.

Zelda Phantom hourglass: decent game but probably one of the weakest zelda games I've ever played

Metroid prime hunters: controls really bothered me and it didn't feel like a metroid game either

I would have to agree with you here, I was a bit dissapointed in this game. I don't feel it's a bad game, but I do feel that many people do overrate this game. Most of the people that said this game was really good and gave thier opinions to support it, didn't really talk about this games flaws, so off of what I had read before I got this game, it sounded like the perfect game, and even though it's good, I do think that some people tend to overrate it. In my opinion this game would be about a 7-7.5, but to a person that really likes Rpgs it would probably be a 9+.

chrono trigger is a old game man and was amazing at the time.

and mario kart ds was great for being portable! but the online is whak cuz of the cheaters and what not its hard to have fun playing it online :(

I agree. CT is awesome, dont go just for graphics, CT is just more than that. It's a classic! Enjoy it as a classic not as a new release. Again I agree with all of you about TWEWY, not that good

But that's in the past right? So what if it was great at that time? This is a new generation and we should be comparing it to modern games. If it's actually better than modern ds games, then yes, it deserves its score.

This also applies for other games. Nostalgia often hides the real thing. Who cares if it was rated 10/10 when the first game came out? Again, compare it to modern games. In some cases, people are so caught up in the nostalgic parts that they overlook the bad parts.
