I was reading around and I found that some games might not be released on the 'Virtual Console' because of publisher/ownership issues of the game. I think the company in charge that made 'Golden Eye: 007' for 'N64' is now with microsoft or something along those lines.

Can anyone confirm this?

Rare, the creator of games such as Golden Eye and Perfect Dark are now with Microsoft. It may be possible for nintendo to acquire the rights to put these games on the virtual console, but it would more then likley take a lot of work to get all the legal things finnished. They may be released sometime in the future, but its probably unlikley.

Ign has an article about the chances that rare titles like goldeneye will come to the VC. http://wii.ign.com/articles/832/832221p1.html

Ownership rights are definately messing with the VC. And with recent editions and the lack of really great games coming every week, I'm sure nintendo is carefully timing each precious release they have left.
