people say wii is just a gamecube in a different box look at these graffics

The GameCube has a single-threaded PowerPC processor running at 485 MHZ. The Wii's processor, running at 729MHz, is faster.

The GameCube has 24 MB of RAM. The Wii has 88 MB of RAM.

The video card in the GameCube has 16 MB of video RAM, while the Wii has 88 MB.

 ive proven my point

Im not sure if you are posting to gain attention, lots of people here think the Wii is great regardless if it is just 50% faster in clock speeds than Gamecube

..no it isn't. there's just a gamecube version & a Wii version. A port is an old game already out on a console, which gets ported to a newer console. Zelda TP was released on Wii first, so it can't be a Gamecube port. They developed the game on the Gamecube devkits, but they released the game on Wii first. With your theory than Red Steel, which started development on the Gamecube devkits are a port as well.

No not at all
Zelda is a port, it's a Gamecube game that's been PORTED (remember that word) to the Wii
We're not talking development, we're talking what system is it for.

Yes and everyone knows that was to help make more people get a Wii.
It was ready for the Gamecube last year before the Wii was released, the only reason for the delay was because the Wii hadn't launched.

I am pleasantly surprised with my Wii console but it hasn't blown me away.

It's a nice distraction every once in a while. However like the Gamecube (for now at least) it is not my favourite console of its generation.

You do realize that the GameCube version of Zelda would have been available first if Nintendo had not wanted to use the Wii version to sell more Wii's right?  The game is a port of the GameCube version and not the other way around.  The game was created and more or less completed for the GameCube before they decided to PORT it over to the Wii.  It doesn't matter which system it came out on first.  It matters which system it was in development for first.

Exactly

These arguments are useless until people start coding for the Wii and the Wii only.

Oh no. Not an other Zelda:TP thread about which one is a port. I'm planning to have both versions at 1 time in the lifespan of Wii. I'll probably wait when the game will be less than 30$ to buy the Wii version. Right now, I have the GC version because I could not find my Wii yet.

Seriously, why does everyone want to know which one is a port of the other version?

I own a 360 and am getting the Wii the minute I can find one. A couple of my friends have them and I've spent a lot of time playing Twilight Princess, Wii Sports, Warioware and the like. I give Nintendo and the Wii a lot of credit for their unique vision on the Wii, and I must admit that while it doesn't quite match the 360 and PS3 for power, it's fun regardless. Great graphics do not a great game make.
