Phantom Hourglass vs. Final Fantasy IV

if your the kind that likes final fantasy you might want that. i myself have not played final fantasy 4 but it is most likely like all the others. I liked phantom hourglass but i heard it was you either liked it or not

Both games are great titles. I say go with FFIV Zelda:PH is a very easy game with a lot of back tracking. FFIV can last a good 20-40 hrs and is more of a challenge.

Graphics: Zelda PH IMO

Story: FFIV

Sound: FFIV

Gameplay and characters: FFIV

Both are great BUT phantom hourglass has some backtacking parts that will piss you off...Angakua

i have yet to see a game surpass PH ( maybe FFTA2 ) on the ds. dont get me wrong FF is worth getting just after PH

They're both really great games. Phantom Hourglass is innovative while FF4 is classic tried-and-true. I mean, FF4 was revolutionary for its time (influenced all RPGs made after it), but it follows the standard you'd probably expect.

They're both great games though. Both of them can be tedious, but they're worth playing at least once.

Although Final Fantasy is a game worth playing, I sugest starting with Phatom Hourglass and after beating that playing Final Fantasy. Why?

Because after you played Final Fantasy, Iam sure your not in the mood of playing Phantom Hourglass, After the thrill of beating FF, You sure dont want to play another game for the following days.
