Is 'The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass' worth it for a DS owner who has not played Windwaker? I'm mostly concerned that I won't be able to follow the story.

It does start where Wind Waker left off, but as far as I can remember, there was no refrence to any events or conversations that occurred in Wind Waker.

The only thing that connects it to Wind Waker are the pirates at the beginning of the game and the girl that gets kidnapped. Other than that you'll be fine.

I haven't played Wind Waker either. The downside about PH is the temple but hey you might not have a problem with it at all.

Yes, this game really takes DS at its max, uses the mic and touch screen really nice, its still nice if you haven't played ww before, both are different games, different story, no surprise with Zelda games at all..

Don't worry, most of the game has nothing to do with windwaker at all. The storyline is easy to understand...

Yes get it, it's a great game. I had never played a Zelda game before, infact I never really liked Zelda, but I came around to playing this one day and I loved it.
