Pikmin was instantly one of my favorite franchises the day it was created. I have heard numerous rumors of Pikmin 3 for the Wii, and this would truly make my year. But I ask you good members of Gamespot, isn't the DS worthy of a series like Pikmin? I would like to hear all of your thoughts and creative imaginings about this. Thank you.

With the stylus, you could tap a group of Pikmin and tap any spot and they'd go there. The top screen could be a map, clock, and keep track of all of your little guys. And wi-fi for multiplayer games and co-op adventuring.

Yes the DS does need Pikmin. Pikmin was boss and it would be a huge let down if we never saw it on Ds or Wii.

Point-and-tap Pikmin commanding? Sounds great. You could even make Olimar toss the little guys by flicking the stylus. Wi-fi would be great too.

I think it's only a matter of time before we get Pikmin DS. I missed it on the Gamecube so a DS version would be sweet. Maybe we'll get a DS and Wii version that can connect to each other.

Ah... connectivity. I hadn't even thought of that. What sort of features do you suppose a connectable DS and Wii version would have?

Well I know exactly how you feel, we need a new Pikmin! I also think that if they do it on the DS you should have to option to play with the stylus or the buttons, but yeah that could work amazingly

Put Pikmin away for good? You would have Nintendo put away one of the most innovative strategy games of all time... for good? I agree, Ice Climbers or Kid Icarus would be great to see sequels for, but the Pikmin games are much different than either of those other Nintendo titles. How do you think Pikmin would look graphically on the DS?
