These are my ideas for a Pikmin game that will not over-simplify Pikmin.

-10 Types of Pikmin including

1.Red-have pretty much the same attributes, but this time when they go through fire, they light on fire, and when they are thrown at enemies, they catch the enemy on fire

2.Blue-have pretty much the same attributes, but this time when they go through water, they get trapped in a bubble that you can throw to make wet spots where enemys will slip on and hurt themselves

3.Yellow-same thing with red and blue, they pass through electricity and when they are thrown at enemys, they paralyse enemies

4.Purple-now purple pikmin can pass through mud, and when they pass through mud they form into boulders which you can bowl at enemys

5.White-same with red and blue and yellow, they go threw poison, then you can throw that at enemys to poison them

6.Light Blue-they can go through ice, and snow and when they go though it, they can be thrown at enemys to freeze them/wheight =light-medium

7.Black Pikmin-they can go through zero gravity zones, and when they go through zero gravity, they get gravity powers that can cause enemys to float in the air where they are unable to attack weight=medium heavy

8.Pink-they are very VERY light, and can go on clouds, when they go on clouds, they get the power to blow the enemy back when they hit them weight=VERY light

9.Green-they can go through thick grass, when they go through thick grass, they can attach a seed to enemys that can cause a flower to grow on them, turning them into Pikmin for a time weight=medium

10.Gold-Gold Pikmin are only available at and after the end of the game, the pellets are very hard to carry, they produce few of them, but they can go through any enviorments and no be hurt. They also have high defense, high stength, and high jumping, but arent very fast. weight=heavy

-you control Olmar and Louie again, but this time there are a few differences

1.Louie is the fastest

2.Olimar can control Pikmin better

3.Olimar can throw Pikmin farther

4.Louie can throw 2 Pikmin at the same time

-there are some flying levels where you control the ship in a side scrolling minigame where you steer the ship with the control stick, and you fire with the pointer, you lose 1 Pikmin when you get hit, you can also buy new ship parts

-there are 8 planets with different landing sites, also each planet has a specific enviorment, also there is a hub world which is Olimars home planet

-Wi-fi versus and co-op mode where the player can be either Olimar, Louie, Olimar's boss, or Olimar's son

so what do you think

This sounds good, I haven't played Pikmin 2 yet so I don't know if this is possible already : Take control of a pikmin to go through tiny holes Olimar and Louie can't go through. You should also be able to enter your ship and go around in it, kind of like in Metroid prime 3 but, more walking around less looking around ^^ All these new features and those you said, and Pikmin is ready for the Wii ^^

These are my ideas for a Pikmin game that will not over-simplify Pikmin.

I think that 10 types of Pikmin is a little too much. The Gold and Green ones are redundant.

You have good ideas but it was hard to organize 5 different types of Pikmin, nevermind 10 different types.

I think they should keep Gold pikmin, but make them available through the entire game but very, very hard to get.

And keep one more kind of Pikmin.

I dont think they need to add more Pikmin they just need to make new ways to play.

I think there should be a rival company that comes in and starts misusing the Pikmin and gives them a strange substance so they are extremely aggressive. So there will be levels where you have to fight these Pikmin and the rival company and traditional Pikmin levels. I also think it should be fully coop and have verse modes.

I think there should be a rival company that comes in and starts misusing the Pikmin and gives them a strange substance so they are extremely aggressive. So there will be levels where you have to fight these Pikmin and the rival company and traditional Pikmin levels. I also think it should be fully coop and have verse modes.

Cyber-

Pikmin fights are lame though (Judging by Pikmin 2's multiplayer)

It's basically pushing the C-stick torwards your opponent till one of you runs out of Pikmin.

Why would you compare a weak side mode of a game that has a less advanced controller?

We have the Wiimote now and besides that the combat can easily be changed. I know alot of people who would probabaly be more interested in the series if it had a little more flare.additionally the game can stay true to its roots with still having resource collecting levels.

I think if there was a rival to Olimar who abuses the power of the pikmin it would be really cool to have a war.

it would probabaly be better if it was certain levels have you fight the pikmin while others have you collect resources. There have always been big huge bosses but I am talking about more of a battle base system included.

Maybe battling pikmin is not what they are gonna do but they need to do something. I suggested that because it is badass to see pikmin in an army and because some people are dumb and impatient and that would help them get into the game without comprimising the game.

I just had an idea for the story.

Your boss from Pikmin 2 becomes too greedy and goes to the Pikmin world to get every treasure on it at any costs. So he begins destroying it for the treasures and you have to stop him and save the Pikmin!

I sort of want an emotional bond with the Pikmin.

thats cool too

I just suggested the battle idea because Pikmin is rejected by some people for their lack of insight.

In either case there needs to be anew addition to compliment resource gathering and killing big monsters.

strangles small enemies with stretchy neck. Considered as 10 pikmin when you use pikmin rope.

Pikmin rope (from brawl)

Used to grab items from cliffsides. Higher the cliff, the more pikmin you need.

I never played Pikmin for Gamecube so I don't know much about the game... I would say that they should keep it almost the same because it got great reviews and then add online play.

Pikmin 3 ideas

1) A similar version to that oyster with pearl in mouth, cept this time it's a venus fly trap and when you walk in to get an object, pikmin get slowed down due to the sticky mouth

2) Spider-scorpion hybrid similar to that of cannon beetle

3) Environment change: rain, where if it starts to rain, it can bring pros and cons, but will be deadly if you stay too long within an area, pikmin start to drown...

4) Special boss where it lives within a 3 hole log and players must find a way to get it out (smoke it out)

5) A big boss with ability to call other baby bulborbs to aid it in attack

6) A similar version to the pile of sticks that grow into a long stick for pikmin transportation, the use of this long stick is to become a rod, where, when near a lake, can be used as a fishing rod when adding string to get the monsters in the lake out (could be used just to get more seeds from body kill or item from boss)

7) Similar to the sticks where you send pikmin to build a bridge across water or something- a straw in which pikmin can pick up, store in inventory and take out later to use as a "bridge" across a body of water, purpose is to protect it from monsters lurking in the water.

8) New feature: ability to store things into your spaceship (called inventory) which can later be used to either make life easier for the player or used to aid in quest

9) Create more missions ON SURFACE OF PLANET (rather than in caves) and 2x or 3x amount of time allowed on surface of planet

10) Weather/climate changes should have a greater influence on pikmin gameplay, such as summer heat, autumn rain, spring rain, or winter snow...all of which also affects the pikmin petals, in which winter, easier to lose flowerà bulb, and spring/summer faster growth to leafàbulbsà flowers + harder to lose flower petals when fighting monsters.

11) "Unlocking new levels/area"à Imagine a narrow passageway with two walls on each side. On one side of the wall is a hole with a great air force blowing through to the other wall, making the passage way impossible to get through. Players must find away to cover that hole, so olimar goes around and up the wall with the hole to throw a heavy rock down to cover it (or with help from pikmin). This in turn traps the air inside that area, and since it must go somewhere, an explosion is heard, in which a big hole is created somewhere else, Olimar goes to investigate and discovers a new area...or opening or w/e.

12) Another element feature that could be added, whirlpools. The purpose of whirlpools is to transport pikmin to another location that would otherwise be impossible to reach.

13) Another element feature that could be added, waterfalls. The purpose of waterfalls is to aid pikmin in carrying items, using the gravitational force in waterfalls to bring items to a specific location or to get it faster to the ship.

14) Another element feature that could be added, rivers (mini rivers). The purpose of rivers is similar to waterfalls. Except for this, the ship can land near or next to a river, and this in turn will allow pikmin to throw items onto a river somewhere far away and let it flow to the ship, allowing a faster mode of transportation for items rather than carrying.

15) Another natural element is lilypads, where they are used to transport pikmin to an island or location.

These are only ideas I thought up quickly, some more fascinating than others, but all of which I believe fit with the flow of the game, being all about nature and whatnot, btw I wasn't a fan of pikmin 2, the whole cave idea, so I didn't include many ideas involving the cave feature. I liked the first pikmin better, more natural, giving the player the feeling of refreshing outdoors and the ability to be explore and be creative....or maybe i'm just claustrophobic, who knows.

Pikmin 2 is my favourite game of all time, but I am worried about the Wii controls fro Pikmin 3. I have thought a lot about it and can't figure out how it will work. Everything works fine untill you reach the c-stick which controls the group of pikmin that follow you directly. There is no second analogue stick. How will this be possable? I am also very scepricle of how the Wii pointer will work for the little throwing aimer thing. It has a set range

they should up the max amount of pikmin

and since everybody wants to see weather and effects it hasalso they want to see more hours in the day, they should do something like this

in the begging of Pikmin 2, you crash land in a snowy valley, and then you go to a spring-tiem area and so forth, so the weather should effect the hours of teh day, since in the winter you have like 8 hours of daylgith and in the summer you have like, 18 hours, it should be like, in the "winter" you have the normal amount, that u had in pikmin 1 and 2, and in the other weather regions yo uwould have more, this way they could make it pregressivly harder in the warmer regions, which they do in all games, make it harder as you go along, but now sicne its harder you can do more things cuz u got mroe time

and yes, 10 pikmin colors is alot to control, i suggest they keep the pikmin they have, but mayeb put a candy pop bud on the surface in each area (just one, and it is either purple/white, not one of each) and after you throw 3 pikmin it goes away and doesn't coem back for 2 days, and maybe have onions for purple/white pikmin, but these can only be accessed in the caves, or in certain boss areas

but perhaps they should add a few more colors, the gold does sound good, but the game isn't that hard and uber pikmin probably would just make it easier

i suggest maybe 2-3 new types of pikmin

black pikmin:

these are unlike regular pikmin, meaning they don't have the standard leaf/bud/flower they just always have a flower, which is an odd color liek light blue or something and they give off differnt scents (which you coudl have them emit with the +/-/1/2 buttons or D-pad or something) and these scents can do the following , also these pikmin are slightly larger than regular and awkward to throw, they are very weak at attacking, formed from black candypop buds

scent 1- pretty much what that red berry potion does in pikmin 2, only with a milder effect, can be done once a day

scent 2-repels enemies, always repels small bulborbs and smaller enemies, has a chance of repeling larger/grown enemies, and has no effect on large/boss enemies, cept mayeb having them make a face, this can be done twice a day

scent 3- puts nearby enemies to sleep, has teh same succes rate as scent 2, this can be done once and hour, and only puts enemies to sleep for 15seconds, or 5 if the enemy is attack

green pikmin: these pikmin are well green, there leaves are slightly curved, same with petals for the flower/bud, these pikmin do not fight from close range; hittign enemies with there faces, but throw rocks amd thorns and smal lseeds at enemies, which does a little less damage than physically attacking, but is long range so. hey, these pikmin come in an onion and are like normal pikmins, meanign they reproduce by putting dead bodies and seeds in their onion

orange pikmin: these pikmin are adabtible, meaning they can survive water/electricity/fire/poison/ and whatever teh world can throw at them, but they can only do it for a slight amount of time, meaning after one hit from a flame geyser get them out of there, or more than 15 secodns i nthe water and their done, beside that they are about medium weight and normal strength, these coem from an onion

i think for some weird reason i should type in my storyline idea for pikmin 3.here it goes. when olimar and syacho arrive at planet hocotate they notice somebody standing near the hocotate sign. it is the governer (im just gonna call him debby for some stupid reason)of Hocotate freight. Debby: "something terrible has happened while you were gone!!!" syacho:"what is it?" Debby:"a gigantic poison cloud fled planets hocotate, talimari, sinthrys, rikeet, kalitor, jiffin,honoheelee, grintrifton, lolileg, pintin,and baleekin." olimar: what about the pikmin planet?" debby:"my calculations dont say anything about the pikmin planet." olimar:"so thats good then." debby:yeah... anyway, there are gas generators on each planet that control the poison cloud when it hits the atmosphere that i need yo to destroy and get every hocotation back here safely. and i, the governer of hocotate freight cannot do it but lomari(new character) can." all of a sudden louie bursts out of the hull and yells "THE GOVERNER OF HOCOTATE FREIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"and louie runs straight to debby shaking his hand so crazy it was like he had mental problems! and then all of a sudden louie faints. debby, syacho, lomari, and especially olimar get wide eyes.all:"louie?"And then they notice the gigantic poison cloud coming there way. immediately they get louie in the gold ship with olimar steering and lomari in a new silver ship steering. syacho stays behind because he has his helmet and debby stays behind because he has an everlasting breathing mask on. but whats this? the S.S. Dolphin is flying in front of you!!! so do you like it? i wont post anymore until someone comments
