plug the network adapter in ur pc, try going on the network connectionson the control pannel (on ur PC), on the one that is ur internet connection (not the adapter) go on the properties then the advanced tab, then tick the box that says ''allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection.'' if this don't work, then u might not have a good enough internet connection (this happened to me when i had AOL as my ISP).
*make sure you are connected to the internet

No, a wireless router is the best way to go.
Wired connection is proven to be better overall;)

I have, that's why I have the correct answer.
I suggest you do the same
Then your looking in the wrong places, I suggest you review your findings again. Call nintendos tech support for example;)

I have plus many other places
Wireless is the best way. Now many people think that myths are reality and that's where the problems come from
MYTH: A wireless connection isn't fast enough
REALITY: Using an average router a Wii user can get a 2.8-3.2 megabit download average, their upload will be between 750k to 1.25 megabit. Both of those numbers are far greater then will ever been needed for online gaming.
MYTH: A wireless connection has lag
REALITY: Lag is up to your ISP and has nothing to do with your router. Lag is determined on how fast your ISP gets your signal and is able to get it back to you.
MYTH: A wireless router's signal can go in and out
REALITY: Once a router is set up correctly it's as stable as a wired connection. Setting up is easy to do with many brands of routers making it a simple list of 6 steps (including taking it out of the box)
There is no need for a console to be wired in this day and age

I already see some discrepancies in your "myth/Reality" examples. Like I said, talk to a real representitive from Nintendo like I did;)
