I actually like a lot of the new sprites. My reaction to the new batch of sprites is more favorable than it was to the Ruby/Sapphire or Diamond/Pearl sprites.

There are some really cool looking Pokemon. Wargle is easily the coolest looking bird since the 1st generation legendaries.

3 and 4 are much worse

Worst?? No way, I honestly think they look great. A lot better than some of the stuff we've gotten from previous gens. I admit they don't all look good but a large number of them are.

They're definitely the worst in my eyes. I can't look at any single one of the new Pokemon without thinking "Okay...what is that actually supposed to be?"

The legendaries Zekrom and Reshiram look great, Mijimaru's final evolution looks amazing but the rest are pretty darn ugly with horrible colour distribution.

MAJOR SPOILERS - Just take a look at the sprites of all the new Pokemon from this link.

A few of the new Pokémon were close to earning a facepalm from me, others weren't that bad.

Yeah, but Black/White is said to be the best Pokemon game to date. Look at the bright side - atleast we can trade in the older generation Pokemon.

Honestly, this may actually be my least favorite set of pokemon ever, especially where legends are concerned. That said, there are plenty of good Pokemon in there and I don't think there's any reason to hate on this gen. I guess for me it's 1st/2nd/4th, 3rd, 5th.

I like'em much better then 3 and 4 actually.

This gen is prolly one of the worst. Though I am glad for a whole new pokemon set. Outside of the first gen, Diamond/Pearl were my favorite. But as for sprites...hard to say, plus you can't compare different system sprites, no way gameboy can compete with DS.

This gen is a mess, there are some good ones, but half are dragon or pyschic.

Back on topic, aside from Mijimaru's final evolution (narwhals!!), most of the Pokemon look terrible. Well hopefully, the game will be the best in the series.

That's what I'd say too. Though the 3rd is still leagues ahead of the 5th gen because it did have some really good designs, and nothing quite stands out to me in the 5th gen. And some are downright terrible, like that Dark/Fighting... thing.

They look pretty cool to me.

They were original? Really? There were plenty of pokemon that were just animals. Tauros is a bull. Literally, that's all he is. Personally I love the first gen, but you have to admit, the original pokemon designs were pretty simple. I like the pokemon this gen more then 4 and 3... When I really think about it, this might gen might have the most pokemon I actually like... But I don't know how good the games are yet, so I have to wait to see if they're my favorite...

They look really creepy now, kinda like aliens.
