which is better for a soon-to-be Gardevoir or do they giv the same % extra in Sp.Atk? ty in adv

Modest. Lowers Atk, which a Gardevoir wouldn't even need normally. Natures produce a 10% change in stats, regardless of which stat it is.

But Gardevoir would never use a physical attack if using an effective set. If the nature is Mild, then you're shortening the life of the Gardevoir by decreasing Defense by an amount that may keep it alive for another attack. In short, Gardevoir doesn't use physical attacks, but may need Defense on occasion, so Modest would be better in this situation, unless you're using a gimmicky set with it.

Use Modest. That 10% difference in defense can mean life or death for your Gardevoir. Losing attack is less detrimental on the whole.
