Which one of these is better in terms of available Pokemon? I'm getting one of them soon, or should I just get Phantom Hourglass. I'm looking for good play time and just plain fun.

Well first off if your after a Pokemon game get Platinum over Diamond or Pearl, as it is the "extended version" of Diamond and Pearl, with more storyline, Battle Frontier and more Pokemon, so personally i would go for that, but if picking one of the three games you mentioned i would pick Phantom HourGlass, but Platinum would come before that, much more replay value.

Agreed, Platinum is superior to them both. Phantom Hourglass is another fantastic choice, but it obviously isn't going to hold the endless replay value of a Pokemon game.

Honestly, there's barely a difference between them. I'd just save your money for HeartGold or SoulSilver. Trust me, once you get either one of those you'll never touch the old Pokemon games again.

Pokemon sometimes bores me. Just pressing the A button all the time in a fight.....

Zelda is a better game to buy it keeps you playing and discovering all sorts of new places. Seeking gems for power-ups is hard but I recently found all of them without cheats or a walkthrough !8) I like the items and puzzling out in what ways you can use them.

in short: Zelda is a better game than Pokemon.

ps: you can also wait for the new Zelda game witch come out 7 December

I´d buy Phantom Hourglass first and forget about the other two for a while.

Buy Phantom Hourglass, then Spirit Tracks. When you've completed those, pick up Platinum to tide you over until the Gold/Silver remakes.
