So here's my problem. I bought a DS at launch in 04' and have played it ever since. about 3 weeks ago i couldnt find it and found out that it was stolen and there was nothing i could do about it. I'm selling my psp and games to blockbuster to gain store credit so that can help me buy a DS lite.(if blockbuster will ever get any colors in besides freakin' pink...) But here's what i really posted this thread about. Will i like pokemon diamond or pearl if i have no interest in pokemon whatsoever? thanks guys.

Most likely not. It uses the same formula as all the other Pokemon games, with a few tweaks (online, 2 vs. 2 battles, etc.). Anyways, it's still a good game with a ridiculous amount of things to do (I've played it for 98 hours and I am still really busy).

I say hold onto the PSP for a while, and just save up for the DS (trust me you're not going to get what it's worth by trading it in, plus there are still games out/coming out for it that you might be interested in.)

Bottom line be patient and save up, Pokemon is fun and all but if you're not a fan then don't go and buy a new system right away for something you might not even like.

Yeah typically if you don't have any interest in past pokemon games you most likely won't like diamond/pearl
