Does anyone else think that this would be a great idea for WiiWare? I mean I've never been allowed a Gameboy before and I always regret not playing great games such as these. I think it would be a great idea if they had it availabe on the Wii with maybe some extra islands or trainers or stuff. And alos full online connectivity with other people on their Wii and Gameboys. What do you guys think?

Wouldn't that essentially just be the VC?

Technically I think it would but if they added possible a new island/contests/extra trainers and stuff then it would be different. Also i dont believe any VC game has online capability so Im not sure what it would go under but as long as they have it there Im good 8)

Not allowed? If you want to play a game, you get the console that has the game, period.

Why wouldn't it be allowed? Nintendo can do what it wants to with its properties:P

How about, instead of doing yet another rehash, they make a brand new pokemon game that is one whole game, and you don't have to buy different versions of.

Hmm, I'm gonna say never gonna happen. Why would Nintendo give you access to a game for only 40 dollars when they could charge you 170 and get more money because you needed a DS? (unless you are just obsessed, then it might be worth it... if everyone has it.....)

It wouldn't really work, because of the touch screen.

You don't need it a lot in D/P, but they would be too lazy to put the Poketek thing in the menu.

First of all, Diamond and Pearl are DS games and they're still relatively new so Nintendo will never bring them to WiiWare. Second, what you're asking for is a "Virtual Handheld" similar to Virtual Console. I don't think there will ever be downloadable GB, GBC, or GBA games on Wii, they're more likely be on the DSi because those games were made for portable play. Anyway, the portable Pokemon games have never worked well on a TV. Playing them via Pokemon Stadium and GameBoy Player was a painful experience. Now, if you're talking about a full made-for-console Pokemon RPG, then I'm with you 7000%.

A downloadable pokemon wiiware game with DLC and Wi-Fi? Sounds good to me or a new Wii Pokemon game thats actually good with good online multiplayer and single player? That would be great too.
