Pokemon Event: Pikachu-Colored Pichu Available Via Wi-Fi Until March 25th, 2010

In case anyone wasn't aware, the Pikachu-Colored Pichu given away at U.S. Gamestops last month is now available for download via the Nintendo WFC Mystery Gift option in North America (U.S. and Canada), Europe, and Australia until March 25th, 2010.

EDIT: If you have an English copy of the game, go ahead and try it out even if you don't live in the aforementioned locations. I can't guarantee that it'll work, but it can't hurt to give it a try.

I say that's pretty messed up since Canada BORDERS the U.S...

...and does this mean that I just wasted an entire Saturday (AGAIN) getting the Gamestop one DURING a snowstorm when they were planning to put it up via Wi-Fi?

Nice. I missed out on the GameStop event, but now I have a second chance.

Thanks for posting this (along with the instructions on how to recieve the Pokemon). I took my son to Gamestop yesterday to receive a Jirachi and now he can get a Pichu as well.

It's because when you have a Pokemon from a different trainer (i.e. trading), you need to have a certain number of gym badges for the pokemon to listen. In your case, you'll need at least the 2nd gym badge for pokemon up to level 30 to obey you, I believe. Once it levels, however, it will go right back to ignoring you until you get another amount of badges.

On the main screen where it says "CONTINUE" and "NEW GAME" and MYSTERY GIFT" you select MYSTERY GIFT

On the new screen select RECEIVE GIFT

On the next prompt select GET VIA NINTENDO WFC

On the next prompt select YES for connecting to the Nintendo Wi Fi Connection

It'll search for a gift and deliver it

Then just visit any shop in the game and talk to the guy in the green hat

Bingo bango bongo you got yourself a brand new Pikachu colored Pichu!

seems like it dont work on SS or HG just try'd it which is kinda stupid i think cuz i dont have another ds to trade with
