Pokemon Gold and Silver remake?

My friend was mentioning something to me about a remake of gold and silver...is this true?

He said something about secret codes or somethign a gold one and a silver one.

well there is no offical remake of gold and silver but people have made there oun versions that you can download on the pc. i dont really know more then that though

If there ever are GS remakes, then they should be called Sun Gold and Moon Silver. I'd be really interested to see what changes are made in this remake. And once Nintendo releases their next hand-held I'm pretty sure everyone (especially me) would want a Ruby and Saphire remake.

Having not played the pokemon games since 3rd grade, I was digging through some of my consoles and I came across my gold. Played it and ended up sitting on my floor for 3 hours losing track of time. I then ended up buying Pearl Sunday :D. Does anyone know if theres some kind of remake for Yellow? I really wanted to play it but unfortunatly I lost it Hurricane Katrina. I get so sick of Gold/Silver remake topics, and its not just on this forum. EVERY pic of a remake has thus far been fake... if they were to make a remake, we'd know about it... not wonder about it. Trust that as of right now, there's no remake in development.

Meh. I'd rather not they make one. You can catch practically everyone of the GS pokemon anyway, albeit through some hacking for the legendaries.

Even so if they did make it, I'd probably buy it, Silver was my favorite GBC game.

Sadly I seem to have lost most of my old Gameboy games- I cant seem to find them anywhere in the house- I found Pokemon Red in my Gameboy Color but no sign of Pokemon Gold which I absolutely loved.

anyway I have a DS & ive got Pokemon Firered, Emerald & Diamond- but id love to be able to play a remake of Pokemon Gold. the Maglev train was so awesome
