Personally I think platinum should've been the G/S special and crystal should've been the D/P special version, just because of the mineral types(just a little obsessive thing I have).
A G/S remake would warrant an insta buy from me. They should try to innovate a little, maybe add realtime or fully animated battles. Maybe even switch up the starters or include multiple regions, like how they used the Johto and Kanto regions in the original.
-A battle frontier where battle tower was.
-Have Sevii avilable to.
Thats about it. But they are pretty much confirmed anyway.
May I ask why so many people want Gold and Silver to be remade? The only reasons I can think of are:-All of your G/S carts have dead save RAM batteries (a problem that no DS game will ever have) -Being able to catch Johto-native creatures in a fourth-generation game much more easily -Nostalgia (but in this case, why not just play the existing G/S/C?) -Wi-Fi battles and tradingNamelessPlayer
For nostalgia see excuse #1. I played my Gold version into the ground (300-400 hours) and all of my data dissapeared.
upgrade the graphics to FR/ LG but not to D/P levels. dont touch the music
add wifi
let us catch the legendaries from kanto and not have to cheat to get all the pokemon (keep duplicating in) also let us get a kanto starter aswell.
multiple save slots
this is kinda off topic but my friend showed me a way to get all 3 starter w/o trading in the originals but this was years ago anyone remember/ know anything about it?

That makes sense. I just got a Gold cart with a dead SRAM battery a few days ago from a thrift store, lodged in an old brick Game Boy. Chances are the original owner sold it because of data loss, or perhaps because (s)he wanted to move on to a later game. Unfortunately, I'm still waiting for the proper tool to arrive in the mail so I can remove the screw in the back and slip in a fresh CR2032. (However, I might end up selling that Gold cartridge after I replace the battery if I get Crystal. I don't really see why I'd keep Gold around if Crystal has more to offer while not being of the rehashed 3rd or 4th generations, unless there's some things I can catch in Gold that I can't in Crystal.)remakes of gold and silver would just be needlessly holding on to the past. Besides, half of both games would be remakes of fire red and leaf green. What would be cool is if they made the next games with the first half being partial remakes of gold and silver, and the later half being a new region instead of kanto. And they should have proper graphics and touch screen movement control. They should be for DSi and use the camera for online. What would the names be? Pyrite and Mythril? Flying should be more like surfing but in midair and teleporting should take it's place as a means of instantaneous transport. Also, maybe the two games could be more diffrent than previous gen games have been from each other. For instance, maybe in one game you could start in joto and go to the new region and in the other game it would be visa-versa. Or perhaps you would start in joto in both but each would go to a diffrent region afterwards.

i am kind of going with him on most of this
Just so you guys know, the games are connected with the t.v show.
Ash first started in kanto and went to jhoto, then went to hoenn, after that he did the battle frontier in kanto which is the cause of FR and LG. now hes in sinnoh. After that there is a big possibility hes goin back to jhoto.

While they are good games, the only thing I would really want to see implemented from this game that hasn't been already is the cellphone feature. I thought it was pretty neat, adding phone numbers of other NPCs, so that you could challenge them to rematches, or else initiate daily events or something this way. There's a lot of possibilities if they bring the cellphone tool back.
The TV show follows the events of the game, and is used as a medium to show off some of the new pokemon a year before they are playable in-game. Sadly, the show has really had no purpose since the original series (covering the kanto-jhoto adventures) concluded. The creator and artist that worked on the original series, as well as the first two series' of pokemon, really haven't had much to do with Pokemon for the last couple of years.Just so you guys know, the games are connected with the t.v show.

The cell phone would only be good if the made some major changes. Pretty much every number that you call is worthless. You should be able to actually participate in a conversation with the NPC. Also, you should be able to call anyone whose Friend code you have and chat with them. Oh, and trainers should grow stronger as you do and want rematches more frequently. I hated having to fight people whose pokemon haven't changed a bit in all the time you haven't been facing them.
I think that instead of a plain remake, they should make a whole new game with ALL the old games in it. so sum ppl wont come up to the elite 4 and quit- like we have to get 40 badges to get there and then we have a WHOLE bunch of other stuff- we could play for years. But then it has to be good and have good gameplay if we're gonna play that long. I'd like to see then pull that off with a good story too.Skylark2012As much as I'd like to see that happen, Nintendo probably won't make it because the existing formula rakes in tons of cash. Why fix something that isn't broken, at least in their eyes? Still, maybe one day we'll see the ideal game with all the regions included and the touch screen on the DS used for an overhauled Pokegear suite. (Maybe the Pokegear is still present to some extent in D/Pe/Pl, but what I've experienced of the touch screen functionality outside of battles, it looks more like a bunch of widgets than useful Pokegear like a map, perhaps the cell phone if they were to bring it back, the radio, etc...)
