Been looking to play one of the Mystery Dungeons games that Pokemon has come out with but havent really decided which one. Is there one that has just like the original Pokemon like when they first came out with Red, Blue and Yellow?

Any feedback would be wonderful, thanks.

These games have all pokemon available. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue/Blue Rescue Team only include the Emerald, Ruby and Saphire pokemon. The Explorers of Time, Darkness & Sky include all generations.

Sweet, thanks for all the feedback and info my friends. I see some have Wi-Fi, can you battle other players or is it just a leaders board?

You can do "automated battles", by that I mean you don't control them, you send your friend your tema and have him/her try out his team on yours. Wi-Fi is also used for rescues as the main part. When someone dies in a dungeon you cand send your team to find them. It will give you the dungeon and floor location. Once you save their sorry butts, they can send you a reward if you desire. You can also rescue by a code that is quite long to put in for both sides. BEWARE! there are fake codes out there that are frowned upon. The people who use these calim to do a LOT of rescures. They don't even do them; they just find a code that corresponds to the floor where the person fell. Usually they'll take it, then about a minute or less, the code is up. It should take you a while to reach the person you want to rescue. Sorry, I ranted a bit.

It is a fresh diversion from the main series, and the story is good. I'd recommend Explorers of Sky, since it has nothing to do with the Rescue Team games story-wise, but is a lot better. It has all the Pokemon up to the 4th gen though.

Well if you are looking to buy one i suggest going to Ebay. I just got Explorers of Darkness for $9.50 with shipping and everything. That was on a bid though, but I guess no one really wanted that copy because I put a max bid of $10 with 2 hours left. Woke up this morning and I won the item for $5.52 XD

I found them both rather enjoyable. The stories were pretty good, too.

What I especially loved was the soundtracks. Better than all the others by a long shot. Particularly Darkness Ridge, Mt. Blaze, and Sky Tower from the first one, and the music that plays when you fight Dialga in the second.

If you like Pokemon and randomly generated dungeons (of MYSTARY!), you'll love these games.

The final boss music that plays in the second series of games is....unsuitable IMO. Its too peaceful. BTW, good for you finding a copy so cheap!

Well you gotta look at ALL your options for purchases. It might take a week to get here, but Ebay has saved me money on games for awhile now and they got games that are rare to find in stores now a days.

Other than that, sounds like these games are going to a blast to play.

I got Darkness in a few days ago and have been playing it for hours a day. It is really a great game and I like the new combat style. All thats left is to find a Growlithe and I will be ALL set.

Gamestop has Blue Rescue Team for 5 dollars right now, I think. It only got a 5.6 rating or something like that, but is it worth getting?
