pokemon platinum molttes zapdos and articuno

do you have to catch the 3 pokemon- moltres zapdos and articuno in order to continue with the game? its getting a bit frustrating cos they keep moving about.. any way i could skip it and carry on with my adventure? dont know how to easily get them

You don't need to get them to finish the game.

i made moltres faint cos i defeated it..how can i continue with the game if i dont get them? not sure where to go next!
